Identifying What Makes the Sabres Special | The Jeremy and Joe Show

Identifying What Makes the Sabres Special | The Jeremy and Joe Show

Jeremy White, Joe DiBiase, and Owen Parker start with a discussion about the Sabres Stanley Cup Odds, as Jeremy explains why he wants the team to win NEXT year not this year. After debating that point, it leads Owen to highlight why he thinks they truly do have a shot at winning it all. He emphasizes the defensive corps ability to create chaos in the o-zone, and explains why that’s such an advantage.

  1. That was a great discussion. The D-men cycle is their superpower and why they are so fun to watch. And those four guys; Dahlin, Samuelsson, Byram and Power have the skill-set to pull it off.

How do you defend against it?

  2. Cozens had 68 points with the Sabres, including 30+ goals, a pace slightly above .83 PPG. He currently has 49 points in 64 games for the Sens, a pace of .765 PPG. He is still a minus player. He is having a decent year, but let's not act like we didn't see this and even better with the Sabres already. His lack of effort and attention to backchecking and defense is part of the reason the Sens are out of the playoffs, just as they were when he was in Buffalo.

  3. I agree with why they blow so many leads. They need to stop trying to protect the lead by collapsing into a defensive system and instead continue to add to the lead by continuing their offensive strategy and make the point gap insurmountable for their opponents.

  4. This team is more than good enough to win the conference. Their biggest weakness is #25, who continues to be a complete liability defensively and good teams WILL target him with success when the games get super physical.

If the Sabres can smartly shave his time down, I see a run.

  5. The way they play with their d cycling is amazing. They put the opponent in an absolute blender with their speed and movement.

  6. Wait. MAGA Tage Thompson is still playing in Buffalo? Why hasn’t he quit the NHL and enlisted? The President he yucked it up with and who he supports decided to attack Iran and Thompson isn’t going to enlist? The Army is going to need soldiers if they invade and occupy a country of over 90 million. All those MAGA Team USA who support Trump are of military age.

  7. Three things have to happen to have a shot at the Cup. 1. Key staying healthy 2. Hopefully they draw as many big/slow teams as possible (I think Montreal would be hard out for the Sabres) 3. Don’t get mentally overwhelmed by “the moment” if they start to progress in the playoffs.

  8. 2012 kings, were 8th seed and no one expected anything from them. They steamrolled over nucks, blues, yotes and devils to win the cup. Lost only 4 games
