NHL rules for penalty calling:
1 – teams must be within one penalty of each other by the end of the game
2 – if somebody has a delayed penalty, anything goes, they’ll never get a second at that point.
3 – if a team gets to +2 on penalties, there’s a 100% chance the other team is getting the next call.
4 – in the final 10 minutes the winning team will never get a power play unless the refs are forced to make a call because of delay of game or high sticking.
It would be a hell of a lot less frustrating if they would just call the game instead of trying to manage it like Tim Peel.
