Saying Scott Laughton is your favourite Leaf in a very long time is equivalent to saying an unsalted cracker is the most flavourful food you have ever eaten.

Treliving is an incompetent. This "rebuild" will last about 8 years and then (hopefully) someone in the Leafs management team will come to the realization that Treliving doesn't have a clue of what he's doing or what he should do. His resume so far reads that he took over TWO pretty decent teams and after two years of his management, they needed complete rebuilds. He's a disaster. I'm 64 years old and a life long Leaf fan. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that I will never see the Leafs win a cup. Not a chance. If I had kids, I would tell them to tell THEIR kids, that they are never going to see a cup either. Not to worry though. Their favourite team will ALWAYS make a $hitton of money. Just not from winning anything.
3rd for Laughton is reasonable, but paying a 1st for him was egregious. 1st for Roy is a good haul and an overpayment as well so its about 50% 50% in my book for Tre..
Brad went for it last year! Sue him, if they ended up beating Florida last year we would have had no complaints. Bunch of leafs cry baby’s thinking of what ifs. I’m glad they sold today so we rebuild some picks and get to retry next season

I still can't believe that if Treliving just signed Marner back when he had the chance near the beginning of last season, and if Marner DIDN'T want to stay, he could have gotten a haul for him (via a full contract Marner) compared to a sign and trade where he only got Roy. What a joke.
