The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs 3-1 at the Bell Centre, continuing their strong push in the Atlantic Division. Oliver Kapanen scored his 20th goal of the season, while Phillip Danault and Jake Evans also found the back of the net for Montreal. Goaltender Jakub Dobes delivered another solid performance, turning aside 17 shots to secure the win.
Shaun Starr and Marco D’Amico break down the Canadiens’ latest win over their biggest rivals. What stood out from Montreal’s performance? How important was Dobes once again in goal? And what does this victory say about the direction of the Habs as the playoff race heats up?
The Canadiens continue to get contributions from across the lineup while playing structured hockey defensively. Is this version of the Habs built to keep winning down the stretch?

i listened religiously for years with knuckles … now i watch everyday i appreciate you both more now
I agree with Marco 1000% , Fowler got called up to play not to sit !! He’s here to play the back to back games and I think he’ll be sent back to Laval on Monday cause I think Montembault times in Montreal sorry to say but it’s the truth!
so does this mean that Fowler is here to stay till the playoffs?
On the table for M. knies : Dach, Ghule, pickford and a cond. first!
How can Hage come up/play when they have max 15 forwards already 🤔??
Instead of presuming anything, I will wait until free agency and draft day to see what really occurs. Too much speculation gets people worked up when we all trust the HuGo process.
Will the salary cap prevent us from signing Hage at the end of the season?
Also, if players cant be put through waivers, then how does assigning a player(ex:Monty) to the AHL?
And would assigning a player create any cap relief?
Thank you for answering(if you get to) Congrats on the 40k! Love the show
The BEST thing that happened to Montreal hockey fans was the discovery of Marco d’Amico! Merci Marco for all the information and scoops you find on our beloved Habs. Now, let’s pray that the Leafs don’t fire Treliving this summer until Kent Hughes put his hands on Matthew Knies! Go Habs Go!!!
While Laine is on the injured list, don’t we get relief on the salary cap?
It seems we would only lose the relief once he is activated. Am I wrong? Asking honestly.
