Just wondering if you seen the latest power rankings yesterday courtesy of TSN.They have Winnipeg and Phil above the Islanders this week.I thought it might be Aprill Fools day already as that seems laughable at best.Any thoughts on this?

You could have said the exact same thing about the team at this point during the 20-21 season and they ended up a goal away from the finals. This core group, as structured, has about a 2-3 year window to put the pieces together. Schenn was a start and an upgrade.
Darche sounds like Lou. Not a good thing. I have a feeling Malkin is pressuring Darche.
I see this group getting to the finals – the path isn't difficult. Cups are won up the middle and this team is studded there! ..the team won't outscore you, theyll suffocate you.. it's not a team without holes but niether is the comp.
U also want to show/teach the kids a winning environment . It's 2 /3 years for some . Some kids will be either just getting their toes wet or be a year in . U want them to learn under a winning environment. JGP=Ritchie and so on . What does it show Schaefer ? That management will not give up on the season but will help give it a push with out ruining the future. It's a retool not a rebuild. And at the same time u are putting fans in the stands . Everyone just enjoy the season and our bright future.
