All deals need to be thoroughly vetted. The more complicated the deal the longer it takes. While there are conspiracy theories around every corner Occam's Razor usually wins out.

I can’t disagree with Rhett when it comes to the draft and it being bullshit. Why, it’s a lottery draft, or it’s what we’re told.
Yet, the Dallas Mavericks got the #1 pick last year with basically 2 percent odds, right after they traded Luka Donicic to Los Angeles.
