i would say about 80% of people i know that were diehard fans for the last 30-40 years no longer watch nascar and you know it shows at every race when you see stands half empty and also only a couple mil. people watching on Tv
What have these 18 & 20 yr olds done to deserve getting into NASCAR? What sacrifices have they made and whats their backstory like Earnhardt, Yarborough, Jr Johnson, the Allisons & Petty's? They're rich entitled brats! They're not heros nor anyone to look up to. To think they're heros just because they're racing is foolishness and outright ignorant. NASCAR sucks!!!

I stopped watching NASCAR when they started stage racing.
The first thing is, do away with the chase, the stages and bring back the old cars with five lug nuts

NASCAR needs new leadership period. Stopped watching after they introduced the playoffs. And made all the car's the same.
The internet wrecked so much. Why spend money and time going to a live event when you can stay home in the A/C to monitor three national sports events while gaming with ten buddies from your couch.
All big sporting events have been flat screened, easily accessed to the N'th degree with no effort.
I thought all of these changes made in the past decade like the playoffs, racing stages, and cookie cutter cars with cookie cutter PR'd up drivers was going to energize the fans. Hmmm…. How'd that work out for you?
NASCAR chased away the fans over the last 10 years. I honestly feel NASCAR would've been better off without the Chase/playoff format that constantly changes. Stage racing is a joke and the drivers show zero respect to each other on the racetrack.

One other thing let's not forget the bulk of race fans has always been blue-collar people the Friday and Saturday racer that doesn't have a education is not even considered giving a shot the drivers of today are spoiled rich kids and the core fans don't support thats.

They stopped racing at Chicago land speed way in Joliet, then came back to down town road course. That ended it for me.
Oh it wasn’t the sponsors fault it’s all of NASCARs format changes and BS
Most sponsor products are unrelated to peoples daily lives. Need automotive and home improvement related sponsors. I look at a lot of the car's and have no idea what those companies do. It has to be directly relatable to the fans. Secondly they have allowed super speedway races to be dump and run. Need to stop the carnage. 3 and 4 wide lap after lap is just dumb. Bring back the sponsors and the car control of the 90s.
Its the pitiful racing and the cars look nothing like the real thing….
They need to go back to basics. Get rid of the stage race the very first thing. Worse thing happened to NASCAR. That and the car of tomorrow.. Race to Labor Day under the point system and take the highest 5-6 drivers and let them fight it out for the championship. Make every race through out of the year count don't start from scratch on the championship run. Stop some of the questionable late cautions to bunch the cars up. If a team is lucky enough to have a dominate car give him an honest win instead of setting it up for a possible wreck taking him out. Look at how the races were run 30-40 years ago when the stands were packed and use some of that knowledge moving forward.
Their is no personality in the sport, it’s boring. Dale Earnhardt was so popular because he had a character, a personality. Drivers today are sponsor robots and there is no story lines to follow, no drama, no mouthing. Just going in circles. You want to attract younger people, give them a Storyline to follow….not just on sundays but throughout the week.
the only stock car racing we see is at the Freedom Factory.

This guy knows he’s part of the fault. With any sport, your priority should be build it and they will come. NASCAR screwed with the product. Restricter plates, playoff, stages, cars that take all or most of the creativity and driver skill out of the equation. They got soft and once you lose a generation, which they already have, you lose their kids and so on. You’re going to have to lower prices on everything to get butts in seats and fill up the stands again. But of course that won’t happen because of greed.

Bump the hybrid or electric aspect of the next Geberation Gen8.

The nextgen is not a good car to watch and some of the drivers should not be racing in the cup car these 2 things make it boring to watch
Maybe because the racing just sucks. Less down force, more power, let the drivers skill do the rest. They forget where they came from
The stages and playoffs made me lose interest. I would rather see drama, rivalry, good old boys heckling each other in interviews rather than have to keep up with what stage it is and who got knocked out the chase.
He understands the problem with sponsorship. F1 will have the same problem with Apple. They will banish their competitors from anything. B2B will be the only way for sponsors to make a return on investment since television is gone.
I think it’s just the times too you see it happening with all major sports much less people are watching the NFL now then they were 20 years ago as well as MLB and NBA I think people are just fading away from this type of entertainment I mean for me I’ll always be a fan of football and racing but i definitely don’t watch it as much as I use to.
Why another video with forced subtitles/captions when the people who need them can just turn them on?
