Horrible gut wrenching loss. Too many in the past 7 games or so. The Florida trip with these losses to Nashville, Philly and now Pittsburgh are bad and might be too many missed points if we dont bear down.
agreed on the announcers, They add nothing to the game imho. The NHL needs to have a feed where there are no announcers but mikes along the boards so that we can pick up the audio from the players. That would be awesome.

We ALL knew the 3rd Penguins goal was coming very soon, and to nobody's surprise, they score right after the 2nd. This team is so fucking slow and so untalented, yet I spend money on tickets and merchandise, and will continue to do so because I'm an idiot who likes to pretend it's worth the money. We have just one fucking player that can actually move (Khusnutdinov), and one player that can actually dangle and carry the puck into the zone without dumping and chasing (Arvidsson). Our superstar and the only legit 1st line forward (Pasta) plays like he just lost his dog and his best friend and hasn't slept in 3 days, and would rather be somewhere else. He didn't even celebrate his own goal. He didn't even give a fucking shit that he finally broke his scoreless streak! What the fuck is going on with this team??? Does Pasta even want to be on this team anymore?? It doesn't fucking seem like he does! There is no fire in his eyes whatsoever. Zadorov is clearly injured. Hampus is useless. Elias can't skate, he can't make a good pass, he can't receive a good pass, and he can't shoot the fucking puck in any meaningful way. The fact that we are still in a playoff spot is beyond shocking, but I give it 5 days for them to get knocked out of their playoff spot. I hope everyone has come to terms with the fact that this team is not making the playoff's this year. This team is going to be gutted in the off season and 40% of these players are going to be long gone. It really fucking sucks that I have to watch the last 1/4 of the season knowing that this team is finished and the rest of this season is completely meaningless. This shit blows.

The Bruins owe me a refund of three hours of life, somehow. Season-defining choke job. NOT a playoff team, whether they make it or not, but they're doing just well enough to achieve a "meh" draft pick, while the Leafs are full tanking, to steal back the Carlo pick. Feels like the ping pong balls will support them in that endeavor, in case they don't fall far enough on their own. And I agree, they choked SO badly, they deserved to have the Pasta-pick play ignored. Period.

No, you're not being dramatic. They gave up in the third. For the first two periods we were literally eating Pittsburgh's lunch, taking pucks away and literally dominating them on the boards and then we went to whatever the hell the third period was. Mcavoy has been getting caught sneaking into the o-zone far too often. Korposalo couldn't absorb a rebound to save his life. Something has changed since the Olympics. I noticed it really badly in the Washington game but the shell that we go into is just such peewee hockey bullshit that it's embarrassing to watch. Now don't get me wrong. Strong play and clock killing is an art but they just shut down and play lazy. That game was 100% winnable but the Bruins decided to stop playing 3/4 of the way through.

That backhand goal against krapasalo was disgusting on krappy and what the hell was that pass by McAvoy in ot unacceptable
Yeah I don't get that take on the backhander. I get that it was from distance but that's a perfectly placed shot and it wasn't weak. It's not like it was a floater that beat him that had wrist shot velocity and it's on the backhand no one knows where that's going. It was a prayer play and it worked. You can get on Korpi for his rebounds on some of the later goals for sure. But goalies aren't stopping that backhander almost ever.
Aspirot could use a few days off. Heâs a rookie, mistakes are going to happen. I think he needs a reset. Plus Harris is fine defensively. This was also the first game that I thought the fourth line was genuinely bad. Jeanot and Kuraly specifically could not get the puck out of their own zone properly at all it was torture to watch

The Bruins have been a below .500 road team all season
Since theyâve come back from the Olympics they have lost all three of their away games
Thatâs not even mentioning that in the three games they won, in one of them CLB was the better team all game, the PITT game was one where it was 50/50 and the third one they barely won against a decimated Capital team
In two of those three away games they played putrid teams in Philly and Nashville.
Nashville had a fire sale prior to the game and their best player, Ryan OâReilly didnât even play
Versus Pittsburgh neither of their two best players were playing in Crosby or Malkin, they were playing a back to back and Boston still couldnât hold on to beat them despite having a 3 goal lead and being up by a goal late in their period
This isnât a new thing, itâs who Boston has been all year, a bad road team
When you combine that with the following below itâs mind boggling that the Bruins didnât at least try selling guys like Peeke and Arvidsson because there is ZERO chance that this Bruins team is beating any actual good NHL teams in any 7 game series come the post season

Well, this team isnât good enough to win anything this year so a good start would have been recognizing this and perhaps selling off pieces that could have helped even in the very near future
Or maybe recognizing this and trying to move pieces to add a Top 6 center or wing or a Top 4 RHD because without those pieces the Bruins as they're constituted today won't ever be a real Cup threat

That was without doubt an unacceptable loss, but to be fair, the bruins have only blown three third period leads this calendar year and all of them went to extra time. The only other multi goal third period lead theyâve blown this entire season was the Tampa game. I donât see that as a trend.

Shocked that Mittlestadt couldn't make a play with either of those passes that were closer to his feet than his blade. Goal scorers know how to adjust to get off a scoring chance.
Every recent loss has been predictable in the first 10 minutes of gameplay… poor D zone management/break outs, sloppy connections on transitions; missed passes & pucks just bouncing of stick blades when receiving passes, and one of the most glaring & concerning elements is the group effort…. it seems like half the team is trying their arses off while the other half of the group stands around and waits for the puck to find them. But honestly this is what we get for sitting on our hands at the deadline, we didn't move to improve, or take the opportunity to adjust the roster in anticipation of an off-season re-shuffle. .500 is what they were fine standing behind, and that's exactly what we're going to get. Not that surprising or upsetting when you recognize that fact.
