The San Jose Sharks have traded Timothy Liljegren to the Washington Capitals in exchange for a 2026 4th-round pick (VGK). This move provides an opportunity for promising young defensemen like Shakir Mukhamadullin to step up and gain valuable ice time as the season progresses.

John Carlson replacement in DC 😉
Prices were just too high makes the Sherwood trade look like a bargain
Guess with Liljegren's departure that opens a roster spot to call up Cherny from the Barracuda
Pohlkamp signing soon????
That’s not true they picked up Jett woo!
Good riddance, never liked lils play. Its muks time! Cherny too!
Guess nobody wanted Ferrari. Understandable.
I’m probably the only fan who is relatively happy to be hanging on to Klingberg and Ferraro. I’m trying to push for the playoffs this year and Klingberg has been a big part of some our success this year, he’s one of our only dmen along with Orlov who have actually had great long NHL careers, guys who most NHL fans will know of. I know sometimes he looks rough out there but I think when he’s feeling it he can be a great asset.
FINALLY!!!! ITS A MIRACLE! HES GONE
Good lilgren sucks
Worried about Ferraro Hes gonna probably walk and we get nothing
Liljegren was my favorite solid player in the group. I guess he was the only dman that was good enough to trade. I thought he was the best stay at home dman.
