Bo Horvat flipped the visor of William Eklund while Eklund was sitting on the bench. Yeah, this might seem funny (and it kind of is), but that doesn’t mean player safety should take this kind of antagonistic behaviour lightly. It would be much different if Eklund was on the playing surface. The bench should be off limits.

Dude it's a 2 min minor for u sportsmanlikez everything doesn't have to be a suspension. Like you actually made this video and thought 6 games was appropriate?
6 games?!! You are high.. all credibility in your rage bait channel is gone
I’m pretty sure he just got like a $2500 fine. Suspension? Not sure about this one bud
That’s Bo’s little buddy. lol
Give him a 2 game suspension and fine. For being a douche
What Horvat did was no worse than the other Shark player on the bench spearing him afterward.
Only thing consistent about the nhl suspensions is the inconsistency… I really hope Eklund can recover
Sharks my ass. They should be called the goldfish
6 GAMES????????????? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
LMFAO If that constitutes a 6 game suspension then what they actually give 6 game suspensions for should be a full season. What a wild take… In reality it wasn't even a max fine, $2,500
6 games is a joke
i think 2 minutes and a small fine is enough lol
Youre like THEE Definition of Soft. When you look up the Word Soft now Google should replace whatever the current Definition of it is and replace it with the video of this take. Because 6 Games is Mental
Unsubscribed.
Keep in mind what I’d do as a player or what I find funny as a fan is different than what I would expect someone in charge of player safety to tolerate, so it’s not about a high horse. Its about how related something is to a hockey play. A slash to the face like Malkin’s got 8 games under my system, so it didn’t get less than this. A flick to the helmet to a guy on the bench I’d argue is more avoidable than a slash to the face in play, but the slash to the face is much more dangerous. Therefore on a scale of avoidability plus danger the flick to the helmet gets a little less than the slash to the face.
If you let this funny thing go, then how do you penalize Marchand for licking someone, for example? And if you let this stuff go how do you punish a player for reacting to it? We can’t just keep saying something is ok until suddenly it isn’t. There’s no consistency that way.
