They look good and hopefully can continue to improve. And a shout-out for the Spud's one of the best Highschool hockey championship games I've ever seen.
TheynNeed to start shooting better on the shootouts , some of them
Y, I would like to see an additional center added off season.
Wild miss too much when shooting at the net. It would be nice if the shooting accuracy was better.
Considering it was 5 v 8 the whole game i don't like our chances in the playoffs
I like our bottom six now. Seems more solid than before. Tip of the hat to Billy G!
Love our Team. Love our additions. Skol, Jesus is coming soon!!!!
Wallsted was on it in net
Ok sent a message-you lost dipshit. Granted in a shootout,& it was an awesome & even game. But everybody already knew long ago-Minnesota is an elite, top tier contender-except maybe you apparently. You guys were missing at least Johansen,we are missing Landyskog,Lehkonen,& LOC. As for "it sucks for us you got a point"…are you high? Sure id rather a regulation win of course. But you act like you are up 10 ps. I wouldn't say you are quite out of the division race yet but it's sure getting quasi close now. We are up 10 pts -which is really 11 cuz we basically have the tiebreaker clinched. Plus we have 2 games in hand,& with no head to head matchups left-you are almost done as far as catching us now. We play Calgary 3 times bud.
Wild have a great team,& I actually consider you our biggest West threat-barely ahead of Dallas-granted most people would put Dallas barely ahead of you but not by much,& really only cuz most of Dallas has gone to 3 straight WCFs,& beat us in the playoffs the last 2 yrs. And you did get deeper at the deadline but the gap got larger when we got Kadri,& you didn't address 2C-or quasi 1A/1B center-depending who ya play/where . Kadri is playing a lot of wing now cuz Lehkonen,& Landyskog are out but when he goes to 3C…our 3C is better than your 2C. Our "5C" insusarance-whos gonna probably play mostly wing (Roy) is better than your 3C. And stop the straw man argument bullshit how people think the AVS are so superior & Wild get disrespected. Anybody with a brain knows Dallas,& Minnesota are elite teams & will be a handful if we have to play either of you.
But guess what moron since you can't count-after beating you & Dallas this weekend- it's HIGHLY LIKELY- though not yet for certain-you are gonna be playing Dallas round 1-not us. I said I'll probably pick Minnesota in that series but long ways to go before that. But you are just inventing this narrative that nobody respects Minnesota. Almost everybody has them in their top 5 power rankings-if not top 3. But you did get us today without 2 top 6 forwards,& LOC has been out all yr-but apparently about to come back. And as great as you guys are-you do need 1 more top 6 center. Trochek would've been perfect so thank God you didn't get him. And no McCarron isn't it. He's a great 4C-like Drury. But also like Drury-just not skilled enough to be top 6 guy. In Drurys case-the reason we had to do something at center was Drury is proven analytically great at 4C but just not good enough at 3C.
That's why we had to at least get Roy. But now our center depth is better than even Dallas-who was probably #1 in center depth as of a few days ago. And both us,& Dallas have a massive advantage over you at center. That doesn't mean you don't have advantages on both of us,& can't win a series-of course you can. It's hockey,& anybody can beat anybody,& Minnesota is the 3rd most talented team to me overall,& 2nd in the West But only a dumb homer would argue that if fully healthy the AVS don't have the most talented roster in the NHL now,& there is a gap. Not a huge gap but it did get somewhat larger the last few days. Despite the fact you did get better,& deeper in your bottom 6. Dallas did get better at 3rd line wing with Bunting,& addressed their bottom pair D hole-albeit only with mediocre Meyers.
It doesn't guarantee squat,& it's not remotely an insurmountable gap…most talent doesn't always win in hockey anyways. But it's stupid to deny it exists when we can role out Roy as our 5th line insurance policy at center-when we hopefully get healthy in a few wks. You guys have more depth on defense, are bigger,& more physical in the bottom 6,& probably have a longer window than us or Dallas-especially if ya resign Hughes. You absolutely could win the Cup this yr but after you fix your "2C,or 1C-B hole this summer -ive already said you might be favorites next yr or co favorite with us cuz basically everybody quasi important is signed with us next season although we will almost certainly have to trade Drury,& either Colton, Nichuskin-somebody this summer. But they all are here for this run,& it's dumb to play this no respect straw man bs-when EVERYBODY knows how good the Wild are,& very few people would deny it.
But you might wanna worry about Dallas,& catching them for home ice-which is important in that series,& last change that goes with it. Especially for a franchise who hasn't won a playoff series in quite awhile. As I said the Central is not over but we got a lot closer this weekend by beating you,& Dallas-granted in shootouts so it's really a tie for you both. But Dallas could've been within 4 pts of us right now,& you 5-had we lost both in regulation. Instead it's 9 & 10. But with tiebreaker guaranteed for us (you aren't making up 14 regulation wins in 18 games or whatever it is. In the highly unlikely scenario you catch us-we will have tie breaker) With 2 games in hand,& no head to head matchups left-wed have to collapse,& you'd have to go crazy to catch us.
It's a lil more possible for Dallas cuz it's 1 less point,we had no games in hand, tiebreaker for us is likely but not guaranteed-unlike vs you & we play them 2 more times. But it's still highly likely they won't catch us either after these 2 games-not to mention the deadline. So if we win the Central we are no lock to win the 1st round,& you will be in basically a pick em series with Dallas so you probably shouldn't worry about us right now. If we see you again this season it'll almost certainly be 2nd round in Denver,& hopefully we are fully healthy by then but it's hockey. But you acting like ya won some kind of moral victory today is pretty ridiculous since the Wild are an elite, tier 1 contender. You acted like you made up ground today-you realize 1 is less than 2? Don't get me wrong-Wild should feel good how they played,& that's an important point for you but in your race with Dallas not us. By us winning it's not the final nail in your coffin of catching us but it's probably like the 1st or 2nd.
On notice that Avs will win the Cup?
