i think it was time we did this. no point in buying to try and force one more run. we might as well clear some space for some of our young guys to make their way up into the nhl while gaining some useful assets.
Chris is a snake, said it was “prudent” to get rid of the greatest defenceman in team history for picks that we already had! Fireable offense. A long long 19 games remaining.
The 2 players brought back will be good additions. They may not be dowd or Carlson but they are not pushovers by any means

For whatever reason the CAPS did not have it this year so I agree with the trades. Play the young guys from Hershey like F – Ilya Protas and F – Andrew Cristall and D – Cole Hutson when his season ends in College. Are D – Cam Allen and D – Ryan Chesley ready too? Why would the CAPS still be playing older players like van Riemsdyk and ???, Is it time to move on from Lapierre and Miro too? Very hard to make a deep run in the playoffs when two of your best players are 40 and 36.
