Don: Calder Cup or bust
Overall, this year deadline sucked balls
Really like the reichel trade, give up a 6th for a former 1st rd pick who is still young at 23. He also had 3 pts in 5 Olympic games under Sturm
I’m happy we didn’t sell, see what happens with this cast of characters.
Definitely happy they didn’t buy. The asking price for some of these guys was insane, I can’t imagine what we would’ve had to give up for a Thomas or Nemec.
Honestly just glad it’s over. Hopefully we see Hagens soon, and we can push for the playoffs. A lot to be excited about. Go B’s.
I'm grateful they bought so little. It's not their year. Besides, the prices at the trade deadline are always ridiculously high for buyers. I cannot believe what the Avalanche paid for Nicolas Roy.
Sturm didn't coach Riechel at the Olympics… Sturm hasn't coached for the German national team in like 7 years. The Sturm-Reichel connection is that Reichel's Dad and Sturm were teammates on a few different German National Teams in the early 2000's
"This team needs a bump"
But requires a 🎱
Did everyone just forget that Arvy's contract has a NMC? He chose to be traded here and obviously he's been good here, likes it here, and wants to help this team go on a run. I wasn't big on his attitude in the locker room during the October losing streak (the "tough love" thing they showed on Behind The B, after that Anaheim game they almost came back in only to trip over the finish line). Calling out the team like that when you've been here all of two weeks might have been a red flag to me in that moment. Looking back on it though it seems like that turned the season around, and he's been good, mostly healthy, and actually the good veteran presence we haven't really had since Fliggy, at least on the bench. He's grown on me a lot and I wouldn't blame him for refusing to waive the NMC, even assuming they'd asked him to, for which I have seen ZERO confirmation.
Thrilled they showed self=control and didnt waste good draft picks.
I am happy they didnt but. But I do think they should have sold something. In particular making room on the roster. They signed steeves and he has been not dressing. They are going to bring hagens so that just means another player needs to be taken out of the line up. I would have moved eyssimont for a middling pick just to make room for hagens.
This TDL did not hit like
I like that they did little. I would have liked to see certain players go but if no ones willing to pay…oh well.
I like what they did (didn't do)… I trust my gut and I have a good feeling about the stretch run.
Poitras first 2027 for trocheck would’ve been my offer.
If it ain't broke….
No prob with the deadline. I have a lot of hope for Hagens another year for minten to improve maybe Marat jumps ahead a bit. I’d love a right hand shot d this off season that’s it. We have first to do what we want with this off season. Also they gave up nothing for a kid who’s got a ton of potential
I'm happy we didn't buy but we were in prime position to sell off SOMETHING! With Toronto teetering on Top 5, we might not get their first this year but we have the assets to be able to accrue a first! Zacha! Mittsy! Poitras and Lysell or something I don't care! Get something for someone. That's all I ask for
Prices were too high for middling players but we should have sold peeke for sure.
Sturm was with the Germain team?
If you look at the deals that were done the asks were AWFUL. We cant make big moves every year. Let's see where we are at. We aren't there yet .
Arvidsson dont move the needle, i preferre to play a kid instead but whatever they re not good and they will not be good for at least one or 2 years, i dont care he fill a hole that s it!
Have fun partying it up this weekend brother.
I honestly felt like Sweeny did his job for once. Didn't heavily invest and trade players that have been playing well this season, nor sell and be like fuck it we aint making the dance this year. To me, it shows that Sweeny acknowledges the team is a playoff spot but also has a reasonable expectation that we are not a cup contending team so it isn't worth buying. I kept saying to my buddies less is more this year. I think Richael will fit better with us than VAN and PHI and may or may not be an option for that third line with Minten and Geekie. we will see.
I wonder if an Elias for Elias trade with Vancouver was looked at. Both are kind of overpaid for what they produced recently. I really think Pettersson would thrive in a better situation.
Don Sweeney did a good job last 2 Trade-deadlines. He oxygenated the roster last year and he stood pat this year, I am satisfied. Cheers
Fn ridiculous. Sweeney sceewed us all over
Lol additon by addition
Lol

Can't wait to be a Bruin!!! WOOO BABY!
If this had been a pet rescue event; Schrödinger wouldn't have bought a kitten. They're in a good spot for what they've shown. Looks like Pasta has a nagging core injury (Groin/Oblique abdomen); if that's true they could've been sellers, but for long term morale. B+
