My guess is that the sellers were demanding RIDICULOUS amounts. It's better to not make such trades.
imagine got a healthy sniper in your team and no one trust him everyone wanna him to get trade. laine gonna prove everyone wrong im sure just sad arber still whit the team
Laine over Dach and Bolduc anyday!Montembault should've been traded !
As usual, Hughes does sweet FA…what message is being sent to the dressing room…
Monty and Dobes are going to be under big pressure now. It's a sprint and no time for crying towels. It's all good no matter what happens.
How much does a defenseman f*cking cost?!
Hughes has done pretty well… until now. ALL of the teams around the Habs got better at this deadline and they want a playoff spot. Tampa, Buffalo and Detroit I think will finish in that order in our Division. That leaves two playoff wild cards for the Habs, Bruins, Blue Jackets, Sens (and maybe Islanders or Penguins, if the Blue Jackets bump one of them out of 2 or 3 in their Division). Only one team stood still, so the playoff experience the young guns need this year is now at risk. Maybe they make it, but the path looks a lot less certain after this trade deadline. The next two games may show us whether they will indeed bounce back…
I’m happy LAINE is still here! Hope he gets back to 💯
This deadline is the reason the Habs will win a cup one day.
Habs are 5th in the league for goals. Defense and goaltending are their biggest issues and a Robert Thomas trade wouldn't have solved either especially since Guhle was apparently part of the package the Blues were asking for.
Habs needs another Guhle way more than they need a Thomas.
crapped the bed today
I guess there weren't any players avaliable that were under 5'7" to make Marty happy?😂😂😂😂
Sooooo glad we didn't get Kadri.
There are a lot of fans who want a trade for the sake of a trade. I am sad we still have Laine, but thankful we still have Arber.
Habs are not cup contenders…full stop. If they get into the second round, I'll be thrilled. They are 3rd in the league in scoring which is great, but they not so in goals against. They still cannot close out games in the 3rd period…that comes in time. They are learning and talent is on it's way. Keep those that are developing. It's still year 4 of a 5 year rebuild. Keep calm and carry on.
This is the same mentality as last year, unless we can make a massive move we trust our boys 🎉❤
We have newhook, Laine, Hage, Engstrom, Reinbacker, Florian, and Zarovzhky ++
What if Mtl is eying McJesus
I think Hughes was in on Thomas. With Parayko and Laine unable to be moved they created cap issues for this mega deal.
I'm thinking that one trade they were working on was for Trochek.
big move "next summer" theyll pay out the nose then too
WOOOH! I wasit all day for nothing to happen! 🙂
Can’t give Gallagher away. $6.5M for another season. His stock is at an all time low. Thanks MB
If Texier or Bulduc don’t get going on the 3rd line, you’ll see Laine get a shot.
Stupid repeats itself Monty in nets …bye bye habs…..
2 minutes was enough hearing this same record playing over and over
Red light Monty must be fired worst in the nhl
