Like WTF. This guy is no better than Ferguson. Just an absolute moron. Traded Bobby for a 2nd?? Brad is clueless, he is a lawyer making big decisions stupid decisions at that. The market showed Toronto that the players they (and the fans) build up to be so valuable….arent really that valuable.
On a day where teams historically grossly overpay, the rest of the league told Toronto, “We’re good thanks….if you want this 2nd or 3rd, sure….but you’re dreaming if you think these guys are worth 1sts…”
The other take-away from today could be that until the Leafs decide to part with 88 or 34, the league isn’t interested giving up anything worthwhile.

Agree with Jesse. Can't be mad at Treliving for what he got for McMann and Laughton. The market is the market. I am however dissapointed in management for not doing more and not getting ahead of the trade deadline before the Olympic break. Also he gave up way too much last trade deadline which is going to hurt this franchise for years to come.

Leafs traded a player in McMann who would have signed for less than what Knies signed for and McMann stats this year are on par with Knies.
What are we celebrating? You are not going to build a team through free agency. Based on points ranked with salary he is worth 5 M a year. That is the market.

We traded a first and Fraser Minten to get Laughton and this is the return? Treliving overpaid a year ago and blew our 1st rounder. Overall this trade deadline was a royal FLOP. We should have moved out more players than this and the return on Laughton just sucks. We still have hardly any draft picks this year.
