  1. Schenn has gone from Toronto to Philly to LA to Arizona to Anaheim to Vancouver to Tampa, back to Vancouver, back to Toronto, to Nashville, to Pitsburgh on Paper, to Winnipeg, and now Buffalo. All time Hockey Hall Of Guys.

  2. I think it's hilarious how much NHL people value draft picks. As an NHL GM, I'm shipping all of my draft picks yearly in favor of people who have played in the league (with a top 10 first round protection). It's less than 20% of all players picked 4th round or later, historically, that play 50+ games in the NHL. Ship them … ship them all.

  3. Pivoting to Stanley after missing out on Parayko is just sad. They still have a ton of good pieces they can move, but they paid a lot here for just depth pieces. It makes them better, but these aren't big swings.

  4. Rosen is a tweener. Hes not a full time NHLer. Bryson can hang in the NHL but hes been in Buffalo way too long.

  5. As a Jets fan, all the best to these guys but it was time. Stanley had a good year but before this year… rough. It was the perfect time to sell. Chevy did good here.

  6. My girlfriend and I are Rochester locals, we got to see a lot of Rosey. Take care of our baby boy Winnipeg 😢.

  7. Carrick was basically a career AHLer in Anaheim (during the BAD years)…hes an incredible dude. When we traded him to Edmonton in 2024, was STOKED to hear his name in a stanley cup final game…that was incredible to see

  8. Carrick was absolutely amazing for the Rangers. He deserved so much better than the dumpster fire in MSG. Take care of him Sabres fans

  9. I like how people who dont understand hockey think a player who doesn't have 40 goals a year is bad. Those 2 big D for buffalo is exactly what they needed.

  10. Great depth move by Buffalo . They don’t need a crazy offensive addition they score a ton of goals. They need big bodies to eat more minutes to help give Dahlin and others some breathing room.

Bryson only has like 12 shots total because ALL of his shots get blocked.. it’s insane

  11. This is exactly what I’ve been asking the Leafs to do all season l. Guys with heart/character that stick up for their teammates. Thats what the Leafs are missing, we are so soft but at least we went out and got Maccelli 😢 Treliving has no clue

  12. If Buffalo wins the Stanley Cup before Vancouver, then Vancouver is officially the worst franchise in NHL history, and well deserved. I'm even taking into consideration the Leafs 1967-present cup drought.

  13. I think it's a fair deal. Retention and bigger bodies to Buffalo and a decent NHL productive prospect and Bryson who literally was described as "just a guy who is happy to be around the team" by Kevyn Adams. I think no retention on Shenn's deal would have been a really hard pill to swallow, but I don't hate it as a Buffalo fan.

  14. Risen is a huge loss to us. I loved him. Bryson is also ridiculously fast. If he was moved to a wing he would do numbers

  15. Wait, did you just say that Sam Carrick played 37% of his regular-season NHL games as a Ranger?

    That percentage is not real

  16. Buffalo foward prospects are all built similar to each other but Rosen was passed on the prospect depth chart by three other forwards in the last couple of years

  17. 95% chance the 2 picks the Rangers got for Carrick will never see the NHL. So you can say over-payment but that's a stretch.

  18. "very high end" is a bit of a stretch for Rosen. He is great in the AHL and will probably make the Nhl but he's been passed by a lot of prospects in Buffalo since being drafted

  19. Rosen wasn’t good enough to crack the Sabres roster for the past three years. He is a good prospect that is all.

  20. Sabres have plenty of skilled guys, even down to the fourth line. Trades all add more grit to the high level of compete they are bringing

  21. These picks are basically useless. The chances of any of those picks turning into an NHLer is >20%. What Buffalo gave up is largely spare parts and got some spare parts they can use.

  22. Sabres are even tied for 3rd in the league for goals scored with Carolina only Colorado and Edmonton have scored more and they might be the fastest team in the league if they continue to get good goaltending who knows what can happen
