  1. Post-Hiller Kings are definitely more fun to watch thats for sure! Maybe there is some life to this team after all.

  2. See Eddie? Teams playing to get rid of their coach does happen more than people realize. It has for many years. They fire Hiller and suddenly the team is playing with more heart and energy. 2 games in a row they put out a great effort and won the second one if it was someone other than Colorado (nobody beats Colorado) they could have easily won last game too. We may never know but it really looked like Hiller lost the room in the playoffs last year. Some players even wanted to leave and did leave because they probably didn't want to play for him anymore. The others just stayed and play badly to get him fired. Again this does happen in pro sports..Its the way players do it without publicly humiliating the coach by saying they don't like him anymore. Obviously internally, I am sure Holland and lucky Luc knew there was a problem when some the departed players told them why they wanted out. Anyway I have no doubt the Kings will be much better now and more consistent and don't be surprised if that winning streak they have needed all year happens in the near future. And yes, the Kings just became the worst empty net scorers in history, I couldn't believe how many times they missed the net. This is the NHL, so thats embarrassing. And you could see it all over the players faces too. Even Kopie said the win was good but the ending wasn't pretty lol. No kidding. I swear they set a record tonight for most missed empty nets in one game. Brutal. The Islanders 3rd goal was literally caused by all the after icing faceoffs because the Kings kept missing the empty net. Anyway enjoy the ending of the season because I think we will be happy how they finish unless another major injury happens. They just can't catch a break this year in that department

  3. Wow, this coach is playing 4 lines, what a concept! But the Kings lack of good trades, has me wondering, they have thrown up this year, and will reassess next year during draft day.

  4. Can "Swagger" be manufactured or faked? I think Swagger that intimidates other teams has to be earned with wins.

  5. Eddie! The podcast is swapping around on iTunes bro! Your LA Kings podcasts are being uploaded on your NHL podcast instead of Kings. Last 2 episodes were not this podcast but instead locked on NHL.

  6. I know they said they are not looking to add defense, but I see Parayko as a great trade option to upgrade over Ceci. If nothing else, your getting better size on the defense. He's already stated he wants to stay b in the West, so that should lower the price tag. I understand it's only a marginal gain on paper adding a player in a down year, but if he shows any hint of his play last year, he'll be a major upgrade on the blue line on both ends of the ice.

  7. Thus far, I’m really enjoying the type of coach Smith seems to be. He’s got a good personality and is much more vocal with the team. I think that communication has paid off. (Except for poor line change communication last night.)

  8. they just play with a different flow now, and seem more sure in their play… almost like a coaching change was all that was needed…
