Geno will be suspended multiple games (no excuse). Pens are struggling.
Easily the worst game of the season. Now without Geno for 2 or more games? Time to lock-in and bury this one as deep as possible.

Hockey officiating isn't any better or worse than the other major league sports.
That last cross check to Gino’s bad shoulder put him over the edge. If you’re going to get suspended anyway, you might as well cross check his teeth out.

My biggest problem with the Malkin play is that the official was NOT going to call a crosscheck on Dahlin until AFTER Malkin sticks him in the face.

The garage league officiating continues.
It’s a shame the way the season is shaping up to end. Looking at the upcoming month with Colorado, Carolina and the rest of the NHL’s best sitting there along with teams like Ottawa who the Pens lose to every time for whatever reason, it’s looking more and more like the Isles and Jackets will overtake the Pens and leave them somewhere in that 9th or 10th place in the conference.
It's honestly time for Kyle Dubas to see what he can get for Skinner, Clifton, Mantha…… maybe 2-2nds, 2-3rds, and a 4th for them. AND go after Thomas, done! Yes, he'd cost a McGroarty or Koivunen and 2-1sts…..soooooooooo what!!!! For the love of God, we need him so much. Next years team would have the best top two lines in the NHL AND we'd have Thomas's elite play for the next 8-9 years!? Don't forget, Chinakov is a pure sniper and needs an elite setup man, Thomas is exactly that!

Sorry, but there’s no excusing what Malkin did. None. Zero. Zip. Guys get cross-checked and slashed all the times, and refs are incompetent. Been this way in the NHL since the Titanic sunk. You can fight the opponent. You can slash them back to their hands. You can cross-check them back, etc. You cannot ever slash them to the head.
Remember when David Shaw slashed Mario Lemieux 1988 in the head… it was in retaliation to a cross-check he received from Mario. And nobody … and I mean nobody, especially in Pittsburgh … excused David Shaw for his overreaction.

Well, the Pens season goes up in smoke just like that. I wish they would’ve finished in last and then I wouldn’t have gotten my hopes up. I have tickets for the Las Vegas game. What a waste. Pittsburgh sports teams let me down all the time. We can’t win crap anymore. Pirates are a joke. Steelers stuck in the mushy middle.
As a Canes fan, I’m looking forward to a 2nd round matchup. Syd scares me to death, but it would still be a fun series.
Geno is to blame for what he did, but Dahlin taking shots at an existing injury is some serious garbage that everybody is glossing over. The officiating was terrible, and it is ongoing.

I am sick from this last game, in fact the play for the last three has been suspect, or feast/famine at least. First that call on the interference made me sick! I had no idea I would get the same feeling from watching hockey that I get from watching the BS calls in the NFL on the steelers and many others for roughing the passer. The part that really bothers me is that these are reviewed! By whom, a nuttless monkey flipping a coin?? This needs to be addressed before they kill the game we love. Then Geno makes me sick with his Tie Domi moment, what the heck were you thinking Geno?? No Sid for a month and then you do that, and will be suspended (deservedly so) so now what?
this league has been poorly officiated since i started watching the pens. in 1975. thats why mario called it a garage league
That non Goaltender interference call was just disgusting. Letang doesn’t even push him hard enough to cause that contact. Their was more Interference here than their was against the rangers when they were called for goalie interference. The league is clueless about its own rules
Thank you for your passion. As a fan these gawd awful refs make me livid. The ENTIRE season the pens have gotten screwed on penalties this year. It’s one thing the first month or two but at this point it’s like they are trying to keep us from doing well. The nhl needs to pull their heads out
