The New Jersey Devils could get a boost from Brett Pesce’s potential return from a hand injury when they face the Vegas Golden Knights. Pesce practiced on Tuesday and is on a two-game road trip. The Devils also placed Simon Nemec on injured reserve and recalled forward Nathan Légaré from Utica of the American Hockey League. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Kings placed Darcy Kuemper on injured reserve and recalled goalie Pheonix Copley from Ontario of the AHL. The Minnesota Wild placed Jonas Brodin on injured reserve and recalled defenseman Carson Lambos from Iowa of the AHL. Andrei Vasilevskiy and Ryan McDonagh practiced with the Tampa Bay Lightning, while Brandon Hagel did not practice due to a head injury. The St. Louis Blues recalled forward Otto Stenberg from Springfield of the AHL and placed forward Nick Bjugstad on injured reserve. The Ottawa Senators’ Thomas Chabot practiced but will not return against the Penguins. The Montreal Canadiens’ Mike Matheson is day to day with an upper-body injury. The San Jose Sharks placed forwards Will Smith and Philipp Kurashev on injured reserve and recalled forwards Igor Chernyshov and Ethan Cardwell from San Jose of the AHL.
