Goaltending is horrible, the defense is awful, Bouchard is a joke and no Eckholm. Why would you think we can win a game.
The Oilers were smothered by the Kings. Hats off to them they played a strong game and their depth shone through. The Oilers have lacked depth and chemistry all year. Leon and McDavid have carried this team all through the season. They were not ready for the playoffs and it shows. Skinner has played bad all year and management did nothing to address the situation. Picard is a great backup goalie but he is not a starting goalie. The Kings defence is super strong and when the Oilers can make a play Keumper is there to make the save. It's not the Oilers year this year. And if they lose in the first round I don't see McDavid staying with the team.

Bouch useless again and sit him as a defender is required. Kane made no difference and Klingberg was ok. Henrique did nothing but take a penalty. Major shake up required to get back in this series. If they lose in 4 there will have to be massive changes in the off season.

Oilers were completely outclassed and it was embarrassing. Management tried to keep the majority of the team that brought them to game 7 of the final last year and it just hasn’t worked. I get that we are missing some key guys like Holloway and Broberg but the biggest factor for me is poorly the players on this team have played. Hyman, RNH, Bouchard, Skinner have been awful this season.
Put in Noah Philip. Give him the expernce

Our penalty kill was beyond great last year in the playoffs. We couldn't expect that great this year. Ita normally not one of the best. It was probably the main reason we got as far as we did last year.
Not sure if Adam H should be on the penalty kill. Shouldnt young , overly aggressive and fast skaters who are unique play that role? Connor brown and Janmark fit that role. Adam? I'm not sure.

I hope they got knocked out soon so that the terrible GM can make some major, major changes in the off-season by addressing the goaltending as the #1 hole. Trade away half the defense, including Bouchard. Kulak, Walman, Ekholm, Emberson can stay

From what I've seen of him, he looks better than Bouchard and Nurse.
At the very least, he knows what the word 'defence' means! And he knows how to play it.
Can't win with Skinner in goal and Ekholm out. When you play Bouchard 30 minutes a night, boy, he sure is good at setting up Kings players in the slot night after night.
I’d say this series shows the value of Ekholm more than anything. Our D core is terrible w/out him. Need to upgrade the D core this off season.
Kings Fan here – if anyone can blow a 2-0 series lead, it's the Kings. But that being said, the Kings have absolutely dominated in 5 of the 6 periods played. Just gotta put 6 guys on 97 & 29. I hope I don't get to use my game 5 or 7 tickets, but I wouldn't be surprised if I do.
