Among other disturbing things (on top of inability to play with a two plus goal lead) is the inability to score on empty nets (even in the O-zone). That Ehlers Hattie was more challenging than it needed to be, because of the limp-wristed pass from Aho. Anyone but Ehlers (and maybe Jarvis) probably would have shot the puck into one of the diving defensemen. Too many times the Canes are making multiple misses on an empty net only to have the opponent tie the game up.
Thanks Shane, good to hear the acknowledgement of the three guys on the 2nd line. The Hockey Guy on YT, along with Tripp and Mike too, all acknowledge that 2nd line, I have to say, I totally agree. Some nights before the Olympic break they were actually the best line out there. Will be nice to see them rewarded more for their consistent work. Friday night will be interesting, and I won't be surprised with an addition to the line up. Let's go Canes!
