    Was it gonna be offside is what I really want to know, would have been funny if the Lightning could challenge that. Would've been like the times where a tennis player challenges his own serve after the returner hits a winner. Anyone got an alternate angle?

    I can only imagine the conversation that OEL and Matthews had after the game.

    Watch Matthews dictate the D zone play, and how OEL reacts.
    Here's what I see: Matthews directs OEL to cover Hagel. OEL obeys his captain, which leaves Guentzel uncovered and in front of the wide open net.
    OEL gestures sarcastically for Matthews to cover Guentzel, knowing full well he could have attempted a shot block rather than commit to Hagel.

    Cue the hockey gods intervention. Their lesson, don't disrespect the C.
