Hi Lee: I think you simply misspoke, but note PP1 time can only provide the opportunity for a minus on SHGs (getting a plus with the man advantage is not technically possible).
As for Korchinski, I’ve watched a lot of his games in Rockford. He’s a better player than I think people realize. Better than Arty for sure. The challenge is that he needs time to adjust. So give him consistent ice time and see what he does with it—my guess is he’ll get increasingly better the more comfortable he is.
Try KK at forward ..let hom show he has the creative assisting ability they drafted him for .he cannot defend as a dman….but maybe freeing ho. Up to attack NAYBE saves his career ..try it..what can you lose?
Other analysts were saying where is he Mentally ? He's not grasping the full game ? God bless the kid . But what do you think " Lee. He's not playing at his full potential ?
They screwed up the development with this poor kid. The lack of physical development is very disappointing, so I don’t want to put all the blame on the organization.
Change of scenery swap. Shane Wright for Korch and a 2nd.
Korchinski has ties to Seattle as it’s where he played junior.
Hawks need young forwards with potential and most importantly playing time. Coming in with a rush of young players too would fit nicely
Nothing is certain that both players would prosper but it’s clear both players at least deserve a shot to prove themselves and aren’t getting adequate ice time
Hawks need to get some size and grit. Foligno will retire soon, and we're trading Murphy & Dickerson. That leaves very little snarl and muscle on this team. Next year, we're going to get pushed around big time. This will be a major issue very soon.
I'd like to see this team playing with Rinzel and Korchinski in the same time , those guys just can't play physical, Sam's soft hands is miserable, actually he played worse than Lev against predators in d zone , always loosing near boards, and allowed goal in front of Spencer Knight.
Call up Aidan Thompson and let him play with guys that can actually score because he can create and has great speed. He's a bit handcuffed in Rockford. Doesnt hurt try it…….
how about they do nothing? its kind of funny people defend Arty and say defensemen usually blossom around age 23-25+ yet they also want to give up on a kid who is just a year older then Arty. Rinzel struggled this year before settling in late into the season, Levshunov struggled a lot this year, Korchinski struggled A LOT more, why are we so confident in our future D core that some people want to trade our D prospects for forwards when we are literally logjammed at forwards. We have too many vets and too many prospects joining in the forward group the next 2 years.
If anything I'd try to trade Korchinski to New Jersey for Anton Silayev (another D prospect), Korchsinski would be free to be as offensive as he wants in New Jersey and is further along in development then Silayev which is what NJ needs rn.
KK has little trade value straight up. Three options:
1. Trade him for another player who was a high 1st round draft pick that also has not lived up to expectations or his potential. Three names that come to mind are Shane Wright, Zachary Bolduc and Alex Turcotte.
2. Use him as part of a package to get another 1st round draft pick (use pick No. 36 + KK) or package him with their 1sr round pick from the Florida Panthers (currently no. 12) to move higher up into the 1st round of the 2026 draft.
3. Keep him in Rockville and hope something clicks or that he develops further physically.
I think we're watching a general manager crisis in real time… I realize nothing is final yet but if these misses are indeed the misses they appearr to be, then that's catastrophic for this rebuild. I know KD has support and probably isn't going anywhere but if you start making a list of his transactions as Gm; draft picks, trades, signings etc.. it paints a bleak picture. You can always speculate on guys being good at some point but right now it's ugly.

Would like to see Lev sent down and see Korch get some more time
If the Blackhawks can find a partner I would package the Florida pick and Korch to move up in the draft. Korch reminds me of David Runblad.

KK's value – 3rd/4th rd pk

Carson Carels come on down
The time to trade him was last summer, hopefully they can get something in return

You can't hit on all of your number 1 picks !
All the Ds suck. They need a speedy driver from the rear. And a 2c center.

What does plus minus have to do with being on pp1? Power play doesn't count to plus minus.

i think chicago is accelerating all our top defensive prospects over maximizing their growth and i think its a recipe for disaster.

Draft Villenueve Reid or Carels and then get a foward
Give him all of Donatos ice time
I like to see them trade for:
A GM that does not have a losing record resume.
A coach that does not have a losing record resume.
An owner that does not have a losing record resume.
Is anyone surprised this bunch of talented kids do not know how to win?
Let Kevin play man there's only 20 games left Murphy will be gone soon black Hawks fan since 1960 one of the real one
Chill that’s my bro, he’ll get there
