Tim Stützle
In the NHL, true franchise talents are almost exclusively found through the draft—and for the Ottawa Senators, that “North Star” is officially Tim Stützle. While Brady Tkachuk is the heart of the team, Stützle is the elite game-breaker turning the Sens into a legitimate threat. From his record-breaking days in the DEL to his dominating performance at the 2026 Milan Winter Olympics, this is the story of Stützle’s rise to superstardom.
Through 57 games in the 2025-26 NHL season, Stützle is putting the league on notice with 28 goals and 61 points, proving his 90-point breakout wasn’t a fluke—it was a floor. We dive into the film to show how he’s dismantling the “soft” narrative by logging 100+ hits annually while maintaining 97th-percentile skating speed.
In This Video
The Prodigy: How Stützle dominated the DEL as a 17-year-old.
World Junior Heroics: The 2021 tournament that put him on the global map.
The 90-Point Explosion: Analyzing his 2022-23 breakout and the evolution into a 200-foot center.
The 2026 Olympics: Stützle’s dominant performance for Team Germany in Milan alongside Leon Draisaitl.
By The Numbers: Why his 23.54 MPH top speed and 53.6% faceoff win rate make him a top-10 NHL asset.

Video was really interesting. Really underrated channel!
He's not just ____ — he's ______.
it's pronounced SHTUTZ-luh. loved the video though!!
Amazing Video about Stützle. Many underestimate the few German players in the NHL. I know it's very nitpicky but it's not pronounced DEL like the tech company. It's said like the NHL. You say every letter.
GO SENS GO
underrated channel. love the content keep it up! Tim is a monster
It's called D-E-L – Deutsche Eishockey Liga ("german hockey league).
Tim Stutzle is a superstar. GSG!
Thanks for the video. You pronounce the Ü in Tim'S family name correctly. That is a tough one for English speakers. Well done. However, you butcher the start and the end of his family name. St at the start of a word in German is nearly allways prononuced sht. More improtatn, the le add the end is not soundling like el in English. Stützle doesn't rhyme with apple, angel and so forth. Pronounce the el the same as the final l of Leon Draisaitl.
der tim ist ein heftig geiler lümmel, wir sind stolz auf ihn!
imagine getting drafted 3rd overall but having almost twice the points than every other drafted kid in this draft. First and second overall picks compared to him are kinda like amateurs… the only one which comes near is Raymond
Stützle was a steal for Ottawa
Hes going to be Draisaitls succesor. Also hes playstyle is very similar to Martin Nečas. Slippery and frkin fast as fck boi xd Also the Stickhandling at this kind of speed. Hope he gets something done with Ottawa soon!
great video.. but u really have to check the pronunciation of tim ✌️😉😘🇩🇪🇩🇪
Captain of the Sens! get rif of the clown Tkachuk
So… what is the problem with him?
Brutaler Junger unser Tim
Unfortunately, the german hockey team did not had the coaching available to handle so many NHL players and creatng havoc. If we have the chance again – Harold Kreis should not be the coach anymore.
"A Tim Stutzle Problem" as if teams struggle against the Sens 😅
So why them Germans all choked at the Olympics ?
GO HABS GO
once the refs get to know where and when the dives will take place, this problem will be solved
Viersen is his birthplace in Germany 🇩🇪
Great video! And imagine, Stutzle is only getting started!
He's also a stud off the ice. Dude chills with the community and all the kids
The two best players from the 2020 draft were selected by Ottawa. If you redrafted today, you could make a good argument that Stuetzle or Sanderson would be the #1 and #2 picks, and the Sens also got Ridley Greig in the first round too. Amazing drafting by the Sens.
