Dickinson, 30, has six goals and 13 points in 43 games with the Blackhawks this season. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. So you give a first round pick for that?

as a hawks fan i feel good. we have a lot of guys that are gonna need spots post TDL and next year (Lardis, Froncell, Kantserov, Boisvert, Mustard, plus a high pick this year, and more) this team made strides this year. were in the WC race until Bedard/Nazar (1C and 2C) both went down for over a month. things are looking good

Hawks fan here. Yes, good deal for the Hawks, but we're giving up a lot of toughness we can't afford to give up. And you now have 2 great penalty kill guys. Still, the 2027 first is nice. Surprised you guys hired Bowman. His picks for the Hawks were terrible and that's why they fell apart several years after those cups. Yes, he was GM when they were winning cups, but that was with Dale Tallon's draft picks, not his. Bowman loves giving away picks. I predict he will be fired by 2028. Next time when you hire a GM, examine his performance with previous teams carefully!
We now know the oilers gave up 2 first round picks for this trade. San Jose now gets the Oilers 2026 first round picks that is not top 12 protected. The Sharks who are 4 points back of the Oilers with 3 games in hand.

I think Tristan Jarry shouldn't be written off yet soly because the defense has been unbelievably horrid. He actually is saving more than the expected goals(doesn't mean everything but still). The oilers traded for him because he can make high danger saves. Put a good team in front of him and they hope he can make more needed saves than skinner ever could. So I am gonna wait to see if the trade is successful or not once they start locking in.
In an Athletic player's poll two years ago, Dickinson was voted one of the most under rated players in the league. He's always on the right side of the puck and has a great work ethic, I hope that the Oiler culture doesn't ruin him.
Oilers fans whining about this trade is embarrassing! We killed 2 birds with one stone with this deal getting rid of dead weight and getting the purely defensive 3C we needed.

They have no one in their system. And getting rid of a 1st for that? They are going to end up like the Canucks for at least 10 years after their 2011 run. Boned.
