  1. Hate this trade. Old Slow high price for age vs 1st rd pick + Mrtka who people were saying in the media… he looks like he can play now, but give him a year in minor (where he is about a point a game defender) then one in the AHL and when Byram contract is up u can play him. So… nutz to all that I guess??? I think this stings more cause we were excited for a 26 yr old Thomas and having to give up a first and Mrtka and Helenius and maybe more vs. 1/4 of that for a 33 year old defender when we just need defensive depth! Not blowing up our top 4! So Samuellsson / Dahlin – Power / Parayko – and then some combo of Metsa, Bryson, Kesserling and Timmons??? WTH are we doing here?

  2. I don't know, he's younger than Zucker, and look what he gives you every night. I like the move. Kesselring is in Ruffs dog-house (for now)I believe. He'll be alright. He has a big shot and a lot of potential. Go Sabre's!

  3. Maybe we've never received the accolades for being an all-star defense, but it was definitely fun with Schoenfield and Jerry Korab.

  4. Not the splash expected if it happens. Ho Hum, typical Sabres, never making a splash, never showing any serious desire to go after that elusive cup.

  5. 33 years of age and at 6.5 mil is actually not bad. Dman age better than frwds. I like this deal. Back end is solidified at this time for next several years.

  6. He still has to waive his NMC for Buffalo… with how long it’s taking this will probably fall through.

Seems like someone in the blues org is leaking all their potential trade details before everything is ironed out. If this doesn’t go through, Jarmo will have lost leverage now that everyone knows what he was willing to pay
