I think Gulatzan proved he was always a way better coach than Knoblauch. Oilers bet on the wrong coach. Any defensive system is non existent.
If rewarding hard work and physicality is important – and it should be – then Clattenburg should be up on the first line. Who cares if he's only played two NHL games. I think it's time for Knoblauch to start sending messages both good and bad. No exceptions either. Roslovic has been the team's best player the last few games.

Paul Coffey was a pretty good coach and got the most out of the defense. They don't protect the play so any #1 goalie is going to look AHL

It’s the guys playing out front of the goalie that are responsible. Doesn’t matter how good a goalie is if he gets no help then he’s in trouble.
It’s the defence we need to fix.
Biggest issue on this team for a decade has been the front office and the pressure to win. This team has approached every season as if they must win it all at all costs. Because of this they have over paid for many players, they have made desperation trades that in the end undermined the team., and they have moved on from developing talent too soon. Now again the front office feels the pressure and is about to make a desperation trade for a goalie that has had some serious ups and downs. Rarely are decisions made out of desperation beneficial in the long run.
1. The entire team isn’t playing well, this reflects more on coaching then goaltending
2. The defense isn’t playing well, again this reflects on coaching more then goaltending
3. Personal on the defensive side, not a cup roster…. Reflects on the front office not goaltending
4. Goaltending is not top caliber
