It's going to be tough to continue to watch the rest of the season knowing they are eliminated from the playoffs. I'm tired of people blaming this all on Bob. The play is getting worse,both defensively and offensively, especially the third period. I don't think zito will be making any moves.

All the people wanting the tank for Gavin McKenna, haven't been paying attention to this season. With the way this season has gone since the 1st day of camp it's been fail after fail, so why would it be any different for the possible draft position. Get ready to miss the playoffs and be the 11th pick or higher. On top of that get ready for not being in the playoffs for a while and a pomo retirement. With a new coach search to come within 2 years. Embrace the suck mode is here. Doom and gloom justified. Fire everyone and sell the team. 😂
I unfortunately saw this coming over a month ago, after our loss on January 29th. I knew that was it.
Well, I love watching hockey, and I still plan to watch all the rest of the games. I want that first round pick, but when the game is on, I still root for them to do well. Can't help it. Hockey is so great.
BTW, right now we have the 11th pick based on points, 10th based on percentage. So win or lose, I have something to feel good about.
Rest Marchy and others, play Vilmanis a lot. Maybe Barky can get in for a few games tune-up and to remind us how good the team can be.
I still believe in this core of guys, they have a lot of time to win (again). This season is definitely not there year to put it lightly. As for Bob, I really hope Zito doesn’t trade him because I personally think that he deserves to finish his career with the Cats.
Besides that honestly if the Cats can draft a right handed d-man (or any type of defensive prospect) that will help this core of guys a lot. Look what Schaefer has done for the Islanders
Interesting enough before Jones got hurt the Cats were 21-16-3 (.896 SV% and 1 one point out of a playoff spot), since he got hurt: 9-12-0 (.868 SV% and 10 points out). I found this stat early today and thought it would be worth sharing
this season is a wrap. I enjoyed 23 24 and 25. Let’s focus on next season and being healthy.

I kinda feel bad for you guys lowkey. But honestly we could all see it coming from a mile away. The even more depressing part is basically they are only missing barky and jones from the cup winning team. Gadjo would be 3, but vilmanis is an upgrade play wise. No more missing guys excuses. Trade marchy back to Boston so he can try a run with them.

Season is over. We literally would have to win every game from now on to realistically even make it.
As for getting prepared for next season? Outside of resting players idk what we need to do but I also argue that is likely all we need to do right now. Because we do not know who will be available nor where our finances are after re-signing players.
I believe in the core and I would love to keep Tarasov. He has played well and he is a very good back-up and I could argue that he would make a good starter.
As for the offseason: I want to see us get someone on the younger side since we do need more youth.
I am just happy we SHOULD be getting a top 10 pick. Considering that Lundell and Knight were not even in the top 10 in their classes, it will be cool to see what management picks up. That is IF they don't screw this up and go on a stupid win streak. The scouts always deliver. I mean Vilmanis has been close to, if not the best player on the ice lately. I would have crashed out if they had given up Chicago Knight and a potential top-5 pick, even though they did win back-to-back cups.

Also please stop talking about them not trying and wanting to trade somebody, they’ve played more hockey in the last 3 years than anybody, they are physically and mentally exhausted. You’re spoiled AF by the last 3 years, you gotta see that.
This team is so cooked. Its demoralizing watching guys get run off the ice. We are getting outworked and outshot in every game now. We look so slow in every 3rd period. Our defense is an absolute sh*t show. Bob was definitely not the problem tonight. I hope Bob can take some extra days off. Get his body ready for next year. As far as the other guys go. We gotta move both Greer and Boqvist to get some assets in return. Hopefully we lose enough to stay in the Top 10 for the draft.

I think we kinda knew this was going to be the results when Barkov got hurt, 3 deep playoff runs in a row on top of 4 nations on top of Olympics on top of what like 6 starters getting injured throughout the season. Sucks but it was bound to happen at some point. Lessons learned don’t flash the Stanley cup during a blowout winter classic and don’t start talking about 3 peats to early 😂
Familiar feeling? This season has been a rerun of early 2000.s.

Too many injuries this season. Starting off before it is began missing our Captain and our Dog then the continued pile on of main core being out… cooked us. Quite alright. Let someone else win the Cup this year. Everyone gets a LONG summer to eat, sleep, have some fun, get new training in and come back like fresh hell for the NHL in 26-27.
They got everyone to bet on the Florida panthers futures to win the division to win the cup to win over a certain amount of games and look what they do rug pull all the betters while the refs have been against the panthers all season with every big ref moment going against the panthers. NHL is rigged they want the oilers to win the cup this year.

All of that aside. I do take solace in the fact that it took all 32 teams, a condensed scehdule, to ‘end’ or rather put the dynasty on pause, instead of the Panthers losing in heartbreaking fashion in the playoffs. The whole team top to bottom to the coaches all need rest. Reload at the draft, address the goaltending in the offseason. Get everyone healthy and salty to take the league by storm again next season. Let’s go Panthers!

It shouldn’t be shocking but i really thought we’d make a run. The guys who are “healthy” right now and playing are probably also so fatigued from the last few years. This team is more than capable of far playoff runs for the next 4-5 years
