You just watched only the second ever hat trick by a Devil D-man. The first was…CRAZY ENOUGH..Halloween 1984 by Uli Heimer at home Meadowlands vs. PITTSBURGH. Goalies were Chico (who AMAZINGLY on the radio call) vs former Montreal Canadians AND ORIGINAL Kansas City Scout (got the first win on Scouts (NJD) history. I first heard of him when I got my first ever hockey book..the Topps 82-83 Sticker album …which I still have full on as mint can be..and my still mint condition Strat O Matic Hockey game in 1985 (covering the 82-83 Season…Gretzky record year and First NJD season…think D%D of hockey…it's amazing and so complicated especially for an 11 yr old. The hours..omfg it was salvation. I will never part with it's impossible to get a Devils shutout with Chico and Ron Low.
Back to Halloween, WE LOST!!!!! 7-6 Even CRAZIER…the other 3 goals. Mel Bridgeman (Capt) and 2 BY JOE FUCKING CIREALLA…WE COULD HAVE HAD 2 Def men with hat tricks….on THE FIRST DEVILS HALLOWEEN GAME EVER…and not until tonight 41vyrs later.
