Good to see you back. When I didn't see your edit of the Minnesota game I got worried something happened….as you are like clockwork. Kasper's reverse hit on Gudas was a thing of beauty. A missed call on Rass, but he wouldn't have gotten his bell rung if he didn't admire his passes.

I honestly wouldn't mind a player like Josh Anderson in Detroit. He's inconsistent and overpaid and has term left, but he can skate, kill penalties, chip in goals, and actually beat the tar out of Mathieu Olivier a couple of seasons ago. And clearly beat Tom Wilson. Absolutely embarrassed Jacob Trouba, too. With the cap going up so much and bad contracts coming off the books, the cap hit isn't that bad. The Wings can't expect their core defensemen to fight. Rasmussen and Soderblom are huge but only sometimes physical and aren't fighters. Austin Watson is as game as anyone, and adds some toughness, but he's not that great a fighter. Whether it's an inexpensive castoff, or someone like Anderson, the Wings could use a fighter who can play the game. Imagine a seven game series against a team as dirty as Anaheim. Detroit would be down 2-3 players after the first couple games.

Wow, for once the league did the right thing. Zegras got a 3 game suspension. Now they need to reprimand the on-ice officials for having failed to do their jobs.
