The Montreal Canadiens just sent a message with a huge 6-2 win over the Washington Capitals.

Jakub Dobes now has 7 straight wins at home — the longest streak by a Canadiens goalie since Carey Price in 2016. Has he officially taken the #1 job over Sam Montembeault?

Cole Caufield scored two more goals and now has 35 on the season. He set a new Canadiens record with his 21st go-ahead goal, passing Guy Lafleur. Can he reach 50?

Nick Suzuki added three points in a captain’s performance, and the Habs are now just 25 points away from a 100-point season. They’ll need an 11-9-3 or 12-10-1 finish to get there.
