So who is going to want to join the LEAFS at the trade deadline to help them make the play-offs; as opposed to renting someone for a play-off drive towards the Cup? Not going to happen. The LEAFS have become a farm team for the NHL.
The Leafs have an ownership group that doesn't care a bout winning a cup and it shows. The Leafs "Big Move" was firing Savard. What a joke this organization is. Imagine sitting around and watching that garbage on the ice all year and thinking,,,, "You know I think we are real close. If we replace the power play coach we are right there". That is the state of this clown show organization.
At least the majority of the fans at Saturday's game in Toronto showed a lot of class when Austin Matthew's gold medal win was acknowledged. I guess the poison pens of the local media don't have the influence they think they have.
