Regarding coaches… since Pat Quinn. How many Leaf coaches have found another head coach job after the leafs? Paul Maurice, Keefe… maybe 1 other guy?

This year vs last year deadline…they shouldn’t have made the moves last year. They didn’t move the needle enough at the expense of this and future years for what? Would they have faired worse with Minten vs Laughton? Or whoever over Carlo? Maybe one trade using a pick and grabenkin. They had a good enough team last year to win the division without those trades and I don’t think the trades changed the outcome last year. They were made for the sake of making trades. They had a chance as they have for 9 years but they weren’t in the top 3 or 5 contenders.

The Leafs are a team/management in total disarray. The players have almost zero communication on the bench let alone the coaching staff. I haven’t seen Tre or Pelley address fans either – a bunch of chumps.

I'm with JD on this one. You can't fire Berube now. It's meaningless. You gotta wait until after the trade deadline now. And you can't just make a trade to make one. After going for it for years and the cupboards are bare, now we need better decisions. Don't make panic moves just to do it. And my god, we need a number one and two defenseman. Big time.

How did I, someone who’s barely understands the rules of hockey, know this team was trash since 2020 but the “experts” are just realizing now? No heart, no soul, no identity. This is the beginning of the end for the deeply flawed “Shanaplan” era that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
I sincerely doubt Matthews will still be with the Leafs after '28.
