One quieter battle we’ll see at training camp will be the fight for the 4th line RW spot with Sutter and Motte.
It will come down to Matthew Highmore, Zack MacEwen, Justin Bailey, Will Lockwood, Phil Di Giuseppe, and Jonah Gadjovich.

I can't remember an off season when the Canucks had such a set lineup. This could definitely be a playoff team. If a couple of the young stars take a step then they might even do some damage.
Who are your choices for the Canucks 12th and 13th forwards?
Highmore,Big Mac the rest start on Abbotsford
I don't think that Highmore will beat out Macewen because the canucks don't really have any enforcers and Zach Macewen brings that to the table. He also has a pretty decent shot
Motte Sutter Lockwood
I say Highmore Or Macewen although i would like to see Lockwood.
Since motte is injured both highmore and Macewan will make it
It will probably be Highmore, but I like Bailey.
it wont be anyone new as greene doesnt know how to bring new young players into the line up. Expect multiple players to be used on the 4th line and no consistent young players on that line.
Highmore>Virtanen
I’d love to see the 4th line go to Motte, Sutter and Gadjovich. Sutter is a reliable defensive centre who can win faceoffs, Motte has shown what he can do and Manchild can give us scoring depth and toughness on that line. We’re a bit soft up front without him and Vasili.
motte sutter Gaovich Bailey big bodies Lockwood
excluding defense, i don't really see any weak spots in our roster.
Highmore looked good. His speed and penalty killing gives him the 12th forward i agree. Also agree macewen di giussepe will be 13 and 14 respectively.
I think having either macewan or Highmore will make our 4th line pretty decent
I think we will be seeing Gadjovich as the 12th forward with MacEwen as the 13th
Yep. Highmore at 12 and maybe Mac at 13. I say maybe, cuz Mac didn't show a whole helluva lot last season. I'd like to see more of Bailey, but I'm not sure if he's really suited to being a 4th liner.
I hope macewan gets it. There isn't a single guy on the roster that is an enforcer type. There might be Miller or maybe even OEL but we can't have our top players fighting. With Motte being small and Sutter being not that big of a guy either and is 30+ years old we need someone like macewan. Sutter and Motte have showed that they are capable of scoring. The only way Highmore gets picked us if they really want to use him on the PK
I agree
This forward group is actually really deep. I think, at the very least, in the regular season, they will be good enough to outscore their defensive problems with a scary top 9 and two ferocious power play units. Mac and Highmore as 12 and 13 aren't bad options to have. They each have their own utility and can slot in anywhere in the bottom six depending on the matchup. I really do hope Brad Shaw can get the most out of the blueline in time for a cup run though.
MacEwan would be my choice because the team seems a little soft without him. Definitely wouldn't mind grabbing Lind off waivers either if he's sent down and wants to come back
Zach Attack, he is the best option, he can bring some size & some skill, will throw them gloves off with a drop of the hat
I like rathbone but canucks could go 22 players and send down rathbone without waiving him, he is waiver exempt. If they need more money for petey quinn. Then pick him up when the injurys starts coming. For me i hope rathbone is in the line up from day 1
Motte Hinmore Gagovich power forward score couple of Goals pretty one's for a big guy extra Lockwood
Hi Clay,
If Gadjovich can be claimed off waiver this year, he might stick as the 13th forward.
If McEwen can't make the starting 12 forwards this year, he may be waived.
I like the additions of Di Giuseppe and Dowling… both got some solid NHL experience… however, JB should bring in another veteran on a PTO like… Eric Staal??
