Jack Hughes of the New Jersey Devils delivered one of the most iconic moments in American hockey history, scoring the Golden Goal for Team USA to secure the country’s first Men’s Hockey Gold Medal since the legendary Miracle on Ice in 1980.
To celebrate the historic moment, Hobby’s Delicatessen & Restaurant in Newark, NJ created a specialty sandwich: “Jack’s Golden Goal Sandwich.”

My favorite lunch spot when I used to work there. Roast Beef on Rye with Mayo on the side, plus Onion Rings! Corn beef and Pastrami definitely as alternates. I need to take a ride up to the old haunts… Hobbys, McGovern's then up to Rutt's Hutt after the game.

Hobbys is a cool place. I was there in 2018. Glad to see the King Henrik sign is still there. Its hilarious. Also love the Rangers fans seating. But wait a minute….these guys are Devils fans, have fed management, and they haven't fed him raw meat or something? If Harris and Blitzer won't do their jobs, maybe us Devils fans can resort to biological warfare!
