this team confuses me
Ok seriously you have to understand from the Canucks point of view.
They had a franchise player this year. They thought and many did that they were at minimum a playoff team (8th seed). So they resigned players to have at least one more kick at the can before Hughes ultimately had to leave. When the team struggled it forced them to move up there rebuild.
If you really think about it is very similar to the Edmonton Oilers. They are all in this season. They know mcdavid is gone in two years. That 2 year extension was very telling. They have no assets to trade to get better.
Teams do this for a chance to win a cup. But before you say oilers have been a playoff team that is true. They arguably have two of the top forwards in the game and not much else. So no way they could be as bad as the Canucks.
At the end of the day it sucks for us. I hate losing like any other Canucks fan. Management has made mistakes but all teams do. Can’t blame them for trying.
How have the Canucks ownership not learned to not let Rutherford near a live mic?
