The Anaheim Ducks pulled off a wild 6–5 regulation win over the Edmonton Oilers in a game that had everything — goals, chaos, scrums, and absolutely no defense. Radko Gudas set the tone early, Ian Moore provided a spark after time with the San Diego Gulls, and Pavel Mintyukov came up with a massive block before Alex Killorn tied it on the power play off a Leo Carlsson shot. Despite blowing coverage late in the second and trailing by two goals twice, the Ducks stormed back in the third with huge plays from Carlsson, Jacob Trouba, Olen Zellweger, and Beckett Sennecke. After the Oilers tied it 5–5 and even switched goalies in a tie game, Carlsson drove the final sequence and set up Cutter Gauthier for the backdoor game-winner in regulation. Yeah unfortunately it feels like everyone's just forgotten what he mentioned. I didn't, and he hasn't really discussed it unless asked and its a blank answer. Disappointed, I get it, Ducks are winning, but we should still hold him accountable for promising things and not living up to them.
Line 1, 2, 4 looked good. Did we have a line 3? Strome, vatrano, helleson not playing. Gudas. Oy vey. 2 week till the deadline. Need a legitimate 3rd liner and #1rd. Sure we could wait till the offseason, but a deep playoff run is right there for the taking, why waste a year.

It honestly depends on how serious we are this year. If we’re serious about a playoff run, we should buy some key defensive pieces. If not I say let’s ride out the season as a glass cannon
