NFL Combine Rumors: Kyler Murray trade, Mendoza, Eagles & AJ Brown, Bears | Colin Cowherd

Colin Cowherd is joined by ‘3 & Out’ host John Middlekauff to discuss the latest in the NFL. John just got back from the NFL Combine and Colin asks him what he found out when he interviewed Seahawks GM John Schneider & Chiefs GM Brett Veach. They discuss what is going to happen with Kyler Murray & Tua and which teams those QBs could get traded or signed to this offseason. The Bears have an interesting offseason ahead, how will Ben Johnson & Ryan Poles improve the roster for Caleb Williams & company. Will the Eagles trade AJ Brown and what’s the latest with Jalen Hurts? Any chance the Raiders trade the #1 pick in the NFL Draft or is it a lock they will draft Fernando Mendoza? 1. The Raiders “might” move off of Mendoza if the cards trade Murray + 3 1st round picks to move up, not that I think they like Murray, but at least then they’d have an option besides Geno this year.

  2. Advanced stats make some of the combine obsolete. Why would they need a player to train in a track style 40 when they have gps speed tracking from actual games? If you really are fast then it shows in the MPH stats from games. Learning how to “win” the 40 yard dash at the combine is mastering track stance and get off, which doesn’t translate necessarily to game speed in pads.

  3. Can y'all stop bitching about the Netflix move? It's a business decision. You'd do it to if the money is right.

  4. Why is the Jets and Seahawks franchise tagging Breece Hall and Kenneth Walker respectively a bad idea if like you said, it’s not a deep RB group. Especially with the Jets who have more cap space than they are able to spend. I don’t get why that’s ridiculous?

  5. Ya i agree with the jared goff take, to me hes the 6th best QB in the league right now, theres other QBs that could end up passing him but hes won 4 playoff games and thats with 2 franchises and hes been to the championship game and a super bowl. He only seems to be getting better too, even tho the lions took a step back this year. If you look at his stays he was a top 5 QB, he wasnt the reason the lions werent as good this year. It was the poor choice of Offensive coordinator as well as the defensive injuries. Jared goff is the type of QB that can be a playoff caliber guy well into his 40s because he doesnt rely on his athleticism and he has also stayed very healthy. He doesn't demand huge contracts like kirk cousins either.

  6. Id take fernando any day of the week over ward. Ward sucks. He has one or two highlight throws a game and those make the rounds but he also is more likely to miss a wide open wr 5 yards away, by 10 yards. He also has a lot of passes going off the fingertips of wrs, they stretch out as far as possible and itll just hit the tips and those pop up in the air and alost never get picked. The ball went into the defneders hands 3 times in san fran and 5 times against the saints and he really should have had 8 turnovers against the saints but is only credited with 5 turnover worthy plays.

The oline was bad early, top 15 the second half of the year. Not many weapons but it wouldnt matter cause the accuracy isnt there. So yeah, id take fernando all day. Dudes a winner who plays winning football in the clutch. Fernando is obviously more intelligent and he is more mobile. Cam cant outrun the D line, he is just really good at scrambling around. Fernando is also more accurate. Easy pick. Id pick shough over dart 100 times out of 100, that dude will be a star and dart and cam are toss ups. I would take cam over simpson though. Cam will be a 16-25 QB at his best, im not sure about Simpson.
