I think the unsung hero of all this is the guys who stole puck , got it down the ice, past and thru 2 defenders, then recovered enough to pass it to Hughes, who made the shot. That was a heck of an assist. Hell kf a sequence by all. Very fun to watch. Watching the Canadians after was priceless.
As an American, I didn't watch the whole game because we had the grandkids but, if this wasn't reviewed, it should have been. There could have been a penalty shot awarded there. Weren't the Canadian men's/women's curling teams accused of cheating? Either way, great game for what I saw, and sometimes shit happens.
At the end of this play USA had five players within two feet of the goal line. Crazy sequence of play. C. Mac was outstanding during the entire tournament.
This is literal propaganda 😂 McAvoy and hanifin couldn’t have played more visibly nervous in that last 35 minutes. People bailing out the defense as if these plays they’re forced into making weren’t their own fault cause of play down on the other side of things. There were maybe 3 times in the last period where defense was at the blue line to keep our offensive possession alive, where as for Canada, they had seemingly infinite chances…but yes somehow our defense was just impeccable, 42 shots on goal 👌🤌mhhmmmm what a thing of beauty that defense was

There hasn’t been enough credit for the pressure put on McDavid and Celebrini on breakaways. Takes good skating defence.
Mcavoy needed that moment too and he came through. He played hard in the games but never did much other than some good hits
