Recap: San Diego Gulls vs Bakersfield Condors, 02.13.2026

The San Diego Gulls skated to a 3-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors on Friday night at Dignity Health Arena, earning their fourth straight win.

San Diego struck early on the power play when Matthew Phillips buried his 10th goal of the season just 3:09 into the first period, finishing a setup from Sasha Pastujov and Tristan Luneau. After a steady opening frame from Tomas Suchanek, the Gulls extended the lead in the second period as Tim Washe netted his 14th of the year off a feed from Nico Myatovic to make it 2-0.

Bakersfield pushed in the third and finally broke through with 2:25 remaining, but the Gulls responded quickly. With the Condors’ net empty, they scored an own goal, that was then credited to Nathan Gaucher, in the final minute to secure the 3-1 win.

Suchanek turned aside 31 of 32 shots in a strong performance, while San Diego capitalized on its lone power-play opportunity and killed off all three Bakersfield chances.
