Skinner has to go. His mistakes have been monumental since 2023, no idea why is everyone in management and Oilcountry media holding unto him. The argument, defense is weak and it is not only Skinner may be true. But there is no good goaltending in Edmonton, for years, regardless of defensive mistakes.
How many seasons are the Oilers going to throw away thinking Skinner is their guy? He's an ok backup at best.He's been given more than enough time to prove himself,we're all tired of "I SHOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER" Lets move on!
I like him as a person…not personal, but we had that game in the bag and he didnt err on the side of caution…. It's not as though Skinner was robbing Bouchard of the puck at a critical time… it was within 2 feet of the goal line and Flame was bearing down on him!!! There's no decision to make, its obvious you fall on it or whack it away… that cost two points because Calgary GOT two points. We got one, but Calgary should have ZERO… so it's not really one point. He said in the interview in that WE battled back, but it was the deflated Team players who HAD TO battle back AGAIN after a deflating handout to the other team! Can't be LEARNING anymore… this is the NHL , not pee wee.
I'm sure skins is an awesome guy but he has to move on
