Sweeney tried to rebuild the 2008-2014 Bruins when the league has completely passed that style by. And he didn't even do a good job of that! Should have re-signed JdB, found a different depth defenseman, and punted on a new center until next offseason instead overpaying what was available. Even if we squeak out the playoffs, I want Sweeney gone. The time has come. Neely, too.
I do think we will, at least, look a little better when Hampus is back in the lineup.
I'm glad my DND party got jumped by a bunch of lycanthropes last night so I didn't have to focus on this game.

All I wish to point out is Charlie Mac was back in the line up after a stint out with injury, looked a bit rusty or lacking in game pace. Expect Hampas to be in the same boat when he returns. You can't beat actual game time, no amount of practice/drills or training can beat that. Carlo didn't look 100%. Masons confidence was shattered and wasn't the same after his mistake at net with the own goal. More importantly no-one I noticed from our senior group or coaches spoke with him on the bench with encouragement and put it behind him type thing, I could be wrong. Nic the bric seems more concerned with his offence similar to Mason which has me wondering about a trend in def, perhaps J.Leetch, and the coaching staff need to enforce def as priority this low scoring forward pack needs to get their shit together and stop relying on the def to contribute so much. Hopefully that makes sense I'm terrible at explaining things lol. Go B's! 🤘🙂

The thing for me is.. they play like they’re good.. not like they’re unsatisfied.. they make predictable plays, pass and shoot right into defenders sticks and force plays.. when you’re failing to score id rather see a forced shot on net from an off angle hard on the ice for a rebound rather than a terrible pass to a forward with two defenders draped on them im sorry
If were all being honest here, there is nothing scary or intimidating about this team. Zadorov is a pushover he dosent scare anyone, couldnt catch a toddler if he wanted to. Elias lindholm is a joke like we all thought he would be. This team just dosent have any fight or urgency. They have 5-8 games of crap tuen somehow pull out a 3 or 4 game good stretch, and then they resport to shit play. I think it would be funny to watch them get owned in the playoffs then maybe just maybe something will happen. This team woukd not win a single game in the playoffs.
I hate to say it. Sell everyone but Pasta, McAvoy, and Sway. No one is safe, we cannot win a cup with the players around this core. Shed the fat.

Didnt think we would make the playoffs shortly after Hampus was injured. Defence is junk, goaltending is mediocre.
I know E. Lindholm had a couple of good plays… but when I focused on him, he was literally just standing in one place, again and again. When he did move, he had zero separation and thus couldn’t be part of the play.
