Bouchard’s defensive game is the reason he was not on team Canada
Bennet,Doughty,Parayko shouldn’t have been on that team either
they played the wrong goalie. I called it early in the tournament that if it goes 3v3 it'll be insta goal on Binner. even the ones scored on Binner were weak. He made some good saves but the Defense really made his life easier and was why he seemed better then he was.. basically like Skinner on the shootout it's almost always a full on loss
As good as Makar and MacKinnon are avalanche has the worst powerplay. How much better would have that powerplay been with Bouchard on point.

You guys are absolute buffoons. He was left off the roster for the Olympics AND 4Nations because he's a product of Mcbaby and everyone can see it. He won't get selected for the next Olympics either.
Team Canada's only mistake was giving the 'C' to Mcbaby for him to dash out and essentially throw the game in OT. They shoulda gave the C to Doughty.

Bouch hater fans can think what they want, but if you were to ask the GMs of 7 of those 8 Team Canada defenseman (the exception being Makar,) if they would trade their player 1 for 1 for bouch, every GM would make that trade! Would he have made a difference? Guess we’ll never know.
Canada had SO many opportunities. They didn’t need other players. The players they brought needed to do their jobs and score.
Bouchard would have scored where Toews didn't and I'm gonna say Hyman would have scored where McKinnon didn't.

The bomber will never reach that, simply because he doesn't have the skills.

The fact that Bouchard and Hyms were not there, made me not care about them losing. I didnt like many Canadian players so it was hard to even cheer for them. Just Mcdavid and Crosby. Thats all i gave a shit about
trusting Makar/MacKinnon who are in charge of the worst powerplay in the entire NHL is certainly a choice. 1 shot in a 1:30 5v3 is pathetic

Haha I am sorry Bouchard is a very good offensive defenseman but he would have been a pylon with the speed of the play during Olympics. He’s just way to lackadaisical. Schaffer with his skating ability could have probably played.
