It’s pretty disappointing to see the way this men’s team is treating women and by supporting trump, the LGBTQ plus population by extension. I’ve been absolutely loving your channel but I do feel you have a responsibility to address this to your fan base.

Why the silence about what NHL players think/feel about women in mocking their accomplishments (they've won 3 Golds, 4 Silvers & 1 Bronze – a medal every single Olympics since they were allowed to compete in 1998) in the manner they did (especially the Hughes brothers being front & center bending over laughing when their own mom is part of the USA Women's Hockey coaching staff)? Every second that goes by without an apology from a single player, the USA men's hockey team/organization & ESPECIALLY the NHL speak VOLUMES! This is what this team will be remembered for, not their Gold medal, but their utter disrepect & disregard of their female counterparts that in every aspect are FAR SUPERIOR in putting USA on the medal stand (Men – 11 medals in 106 years / Women, 8 medals in 28 years). I'd like to know: which player said "two for two" when Trump was making a joke about the women's team. They need to get some recognition for actually celebrating the women's win. Everyone else who laughed…super embarrassing. I would have hoped someone would have said "we'd love to have the women there, too, Mr. President" …..I know peer pressure is real everywhere even as a pro athlete, and your country is super friggen scary right now with your administration, but really made me feel like it soured your win to see that in the locker room. Disappointing! It would really make a big statement, to me, if the team decided to not show up to the White House. People say sports aren't political, but they kind of are when you have an administration like Donald Trump's in power. Not to mention his disgraceful AI videos/photos of the Canadian team he's posted recently, layering on top of the 51st state talk and tariffs. I feel he's going to use this win to add onto his case that "Canada isn't a real country." Well – sorry Trump, we are real, we are taking up space, we have our own personality, our own culture, our own economy, and we still rock at hockey with 2 silvers in close OT games and a long history of wins to show it (TBH I am 32 and have been used to Canada almost always winning gold at the Olympics – did not even realize until this year that it had been so long for the USA men). As a new hockey fan, I was so excited to see our boys and girls win gold. I’m in Australia, and was so lifted because you boys got me into hockey again. But don’t pretend to be an ally when you are silent on shit directly related to hockey. You know.
If you want to keep your Heated Rivalry fans, support women. Your LGBT fans support women. It’s not cool to use the success of women’s hockey as a joke.
