It’s a double standard to call Matthews a loser when the leafs lose, but say we can’t call him a winner in the Olympics cause it’s a team sport. Let’s not act like if the US lost he wouldn’t have been called a loser or poor leader.
And when Leafs fail (again) they'll blame the Olympics as burning out their star players.

The reason Canadians are so upset over losing to the US is because outside of hockey, Canada is a joke country. Their military is a joke. Their economy consists of maple syrup, trees and oil (which they are trying to stop, lol). Their sports are a joke; they didn't even finish in the top 10 in medals in these Winter Olympics. Their leaders are a joke; they care so little about the people who live there that instead of trying to make the country better, they make assisted suicide easier.

If USA doesn’t win, everyone would be talking about how Auston is not a leader and how he can’t get it done in the big games… that’s the whole point. The same energy isn’t held for Connor mcdavid who has lost 2 cup finals in a row and now a gold medal game (0 points in games 6 and 7’s and 0 points in the gold medal game)… meanwhile, if mcdavid were to win, everyone would be singing his praises and talking about how huge this was for his legacy… but Auston wins and instead it’s treated as not that big a deal and that he still needs to win for toronto and “oh well if Mackinnon just scored the empty net he would of lost”.
