Jason, best of luck on Tuesday, brother.
That was an amazing hockey game. I look forward to Flyers ganes being half as exciting.
Just to emphasize the gravity of my statement, i dont say this kinda stuff to anyone really, i talk crap online ferociously. But I sincerely hope that everything goes perfectly to plan next Tuesday Jason. Im not even gonna make a Flyers comment this time around. It's all you this week. I dont care if I disagree with everything you ever say again, Im still gonna listen and youre still gonna keep going.
I cannot disagree more with your idea of moving Michkov to the RW just so that he feels better about his game. Why stop there?! The Flyers should also tell him to disregard all of the defensive coverage stuff and go back to cherry picking like he did last year. Don't worry about playing a team game and getting wins…get some points, Matvei!!
I know that I am overstating it a bit but don't erase all of the better habits that he was taught this season (that has been horrible for us fans to watch) that has been showing in Michkov's game analytics lately. You gotta to check out that breakdown video by Scott Peters for evidence of that. Michkov has worked hard to get his game more NHL-y and efficient.
Don't throw all of that good, hard work away now. Just to make Michkov feel better. And has he even said that he isn't feeling good? Or is this more about getting us Flyers fans to feel all warm inside because MM scored 3 points….in a 7-4 loss to the NYI later in March?
And doesn't Martone shoot right and play the RW? I may be wrong but I think so. We are establishing Michkov plays better team offense on the left and we have TK, Foerster and Martone on the right side. Leave Matvei on his natural left wing. He is going to be playing as a LWer next season on.
He is getting this. It is important. Don't compromise anything team for meaningless stat stuffing. Keep him on the left and do whatever it takes to make him comfortable there.
Holler if you need help shoveling the family out, Jason. It would be my pleasure.

Both Canadians and Americains are lucky Russians were out of the tournament….they are true number 1
Such a diner going from the Olympics to the friggin flyers. Best thing the flyers can do is let the bottom drop out and get the best thing they can. They make sure db gets the best player at that position. Vs ‘The Flyer Way’ and getting a player any time could have gotten in the latter half of the first who has ‘grit’
USA USA USA USA Wooooooooooooooo ric flair lol but i wish you successful surgery my wife is getting ready for chemo
Congratulations on a nice U S win in winning both men's and women's hockey gold! To see the joy on those players faces and to honour Johnny the way they did was truly historic and heartfelt but now I'm ready for some Flyers hockey, win or lose. Great chat guys! Thank you Jason and see you in the next one! God bless!
What a pleasure it was to watch truly high level hockey that really meant something.
Now back to the absolute opposite.
Draft position is most important now.
Do you think Risto’s stock has risen high enough after the Olympics that a cup contending team might take the high risk that comes with taking him, and do the flyers get picks, a player or a package?
I was not a Jack Hughes fan solely based on his performance in the four nations but he was a beast in this tournament and his interview with his brother and Matthews really sold me on him. Great win, for the ladies as well, just so emotional. I was 15 years old for the miracle so I’m glad I got to see another GOLD!!! Kick Ass on Tuesday Jason. God Bless
Bobby Baughn as many of us know played the 1964 Stanley Cup final on a broken leg that was temporarily fused by an injection of liquid nitrogen ( I think).
