After Sidney Crosby left the game against Czechia with an injury, how did the ‘next man up’ mentality help Canada rally for the win? How impressive was Nick Suzuki silencing his doubters with the massive game-tying goal? What’s your response to Czechia head coach Radim Rulík’s comments? How did Czechia force Canada to have to rally to win? TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins SC with Jay Onrait to discuss.

I don't know, the only people doubting Suzuki seemed to be media.
I saw plenty calls that should've been against Czechia, the coach is way off.
We were ‘ ACTUALLY’ playing against 6 players lmao
tsn and rogers sportsnet are a complete joke, you chase marner out of town and now you cant even talk about how marner won the game and how nice his goal was,
Well looks likec Craig was not even close !! I recall him saying that the anything can happen in one game theory doesn't apply to this Canada team because they are so so good …Great analysis Craig !!!! I wouldn't point that out if you weren't so angry all the time,
Suzuki reminds me of a young Bergeron, he has to play center.
And i think Bo Horvat should also play more
Suzuki historically doesn't shine when he's down the line up with little responsibilities. Whether it's with the Habs, or the Guelph Storm for the memorial cup run, Suzuki is pure clutch when he's the top role. Suzuki needs to be up the lineup to be useful (2nd line C minimum in my opinion). Cheers
Edit: upon re-reading, my "to be useful" comment should be delivered better with more context. He's a swiss army knife style player and is extremely useful anywhere in the lineup, but he really shines on top lines with captain like responsibilities. He steeped up when Sid was put out. Also, thanks for respectful responses all. I do like good hockey talk. Cheers
Suzuki is underrated and someone give the Czech coach a tissue. Bush league officiating cost Canada a goal (too many men) and you don’t see us whine and complain about it. The difference is we doubled our efforts and won anyway.
Bedard should be there.
I am more concern with MacKinnon play. Like Canada need more than 1 line to win and when Mackinnon had multiple type of wingers and it doesnt click, then there something concerning. Great players help others being better. Not everyone can be a fit with everybody else but they have to find chemistry quickly. I think Suzuki need cerebral players like him that play East-West game Marner and Stone. But at this point it's weird to say but Mackinnon has became a hot potato and better keep him with McDavid because this is where he looked the best.
Imagine how many goals/points Nick would have if Slafkovsky was still on his line with Caufield! (But the Canadiens are much better with Slaf where he is, and Nick's all about Team first).
Not exactly
This is the power of Superior Propane!
For him was just like a habs game!
Wait the Czech coach actually tried saying the refs favored us? And that it seemed like we had 6 guys out there?!?!?! WTF was your 3rd goal then?!?!??!?! 😂😂
Toxic Toronto sports media needs to STFU moving forward.
Master chess player, master class player! no checkers here!
Craig Button said Seth Jarvis. Who assisted on Suzuki goal. Lol
always going to be negative people and really spoiling a lot of things they doubted steve yzerman back in the day who to me was one of the greatest to ever play hockey he won and said good bye so thats what happens these days they are putting down players like suzuki and mariner its sad to see just enjoy these players let them play remember they are good people just doing what they enjoy doing and to those putting down players lace them up and go and do better
That Suzuki-smirk! If he plays for your team you gotta love it! He knows something no/one else knows!
honestly Nick's goal was the best goal I've seen this year
The deserved ovation Suzuki will get at his next game back at the Bell Centre will be deafening.
Find you someone who loves you as much as Craig Button loves Suzuki (I'm with Craig 100%)
A London born player scored the tying goal and a London Knight scored the game-winner.
As a Hab fan I'm used to seeing Suzuki scoring or making a pass to set up a last minute or OT goal. The guy is clutch, never really understood his detractors. If there's someone who needs to sit it's Stone. Lazy skate back to his D zone whenever he turns the puck over. Marchant, Marner and Suzuki would skate circles around their 3rd and 4th lines .
If Marchand is there that games prob not tied
No 10 second pause at the end?!?
Gee, Mr Button, I love it that Jarvis got an assist on Suzuki’s goal after you were so vicious and ignorant about Jarvis the other day
Player #10 had to make up for causing the 3rd chech goal, turnover at the offensive blue line, slow back check, facing the wrong way when the goal is scored
I honestly would have thought that chek coaches quote was him joking… lol wtf is wrong in his head
Nick “the highlight” Suzuki
Suzuki=Selke
I will admit and regret doubting Suzuki. Learn my lesson to never play armchair coach/quarterback, etc… Let's CANADA….
Button said we would cake walk them
Craig said there was 0.1% chance Czechs would even make that a game
Craig owes the Czechs an apology he said they stood no chance
WOOOOO!!!
Nick can slow down the game unexpectedly. Hockey doesn't always have to be played at 99 miles an hour
