Shane Pinto’s contract negotiations just took the wildest turn possible. Today Pinto was suspended 41 nhl games for illegally sports betting. All of pintos contract offers from the Ottawa Senators have been revoked as a result.

Very strange that they’ve found no evidence that he bet on any NHL games. You can’t place bets in any team facilities. He took responsibility, didn’t appeal it, and issued an apology. Something is off. I watched his collegiate career at UND; he’s so talented, worked so hard, and was my favorite player his time there. Situation makes me feel bad; I hope he can turn it around & have a successful career moving forward. The Sens have several players who played some together & all from UND Tyler Kleven, Jacob Bernard-Docker, & Jake Sanderson; unrelated but I think it’s pretty awesome to see them still playing together in the NHL.
