There were questions about the health of Stolarz and Woll. Wolls' health came into two years ago. Stolarz most recent last year. This year Wolls absence had nothing to do with his health as far as Maple Leaf Management was saying. Stolarz is another matter, they knew that most amount of games he played was last year! This year due to Wolls situation he played the 1st 8 games . His knees needed to be iced more! Then a mysterious injury to his upper body happened. Which too many indicates post concussion syndrome? Treliving had to know that or considered that one or two of his top Goaltenders might be on the shelf because of past performances. Now they have no excuses to play both Hildiby and AA as backup at a important point in this stage of this season. Unfortunately due to past Management's lack of planning and trading future assets ! Players from the roster ! And not developing a farm system to provide players to play with the Leafs have made it a serious problem as when Dubas let 3 Goaltenders get picked off waivers for a rookie goaltender who didn't last 2 months !!!
They should have Never Extended Stolarz..and traded him last deadline or in the off season…. but More ons like Dangle Preached that he was there #1 goalie..what a fool
Id trade both Woll and Stolarz before id trade Hildeby. Id provably move off Woll first. Hes younger, so more valuable. And Stolarz has showed that he can be the best back-up in the league, Woll got hurt even when he was back-up.
I saw an interview with Woll years ago. When he was just a prospect. They asked "how are you so flexable? Do you stretch 6 hours a day or something?" He replied "Nope. Im just naturally flexable, I dont need to stretch at all." After hearing that I had a bad feeling he would be injury prone. But where are the leafs trainers? This should be an easy problem to fix.
The ONLY thing that can help the Leafs is for all the Toronto media that covers them to vanish overnight and leave the team alone for a season. It amazes me that zero Leafs fans fully understand how many NHL players have Toronto on their no-trade clause list and what the exact reason is for that🤷♂️🤦♂️
Hildebys in his last 3 starts has allowed 2 goals, he has 2 SO's, and his SV% is like .985% (probably about .940% over the 9 games he's started) — I'd say hes adequate! Im loving this guy!
