Should the Bruins Trade for Justin Faulk? Full Analysis

According to a recent report from RG.org, the Boston Bruins are among multiple teams interested in acquiring Justin Faulk from the St. Louis Blues.

So in this video, I’m breaking down exactly what type of player Justin Faulk is in 2026. I’m going through his analytics in plain English. I’m comparing him directly to Andersson. We’re talking contract value. We’re talking realistic trade packages. And we’re answering the big question:

Is this a championship-building move… or a reaction to missing out on something better?

  1. You summed it up perfectly. Good, not elite. Any player over 30, if not elite, I'm leery of. Diminishing assets. Nice analytical breakdown!

  2. Bruins are one bad trade away from becoming Toronto trades to bruins. When it comes to st.Louis

  3. Great breakdown! I really love your videos, you’re explaining everything in a very understandable way. I especially love the way you talk, it’s very easily understandable even for me as a Czech. Thanks for providing interesting & fun videos for our Bruins community!🇨🇿❤️

  4. Please no Sweeney. Im just starting to tolerate you .dont do it. Yo great video court you an family have awesome day

  5. Makes things interesting with Peeke. Do you extend him if there is no one else? Does he have the upper hand due to shortage of right shot D?

  6. Just WHY?! Dude is too old and too expensive for a team that won’t be a contender this year or next. It’s absolutely outrageous we’re even entertaining this

  7. if you can flip the pick you got from the ducks. what are they goin to do with Fabian.? his contract is up this year. i would hate to see this saga end like this.

  8. I’d rather jump off a bridge then read a notification that says the bruins traded for Faulk

  9. The Bruins do not need to Buy. we where not supposed to make the playoffs. Let the season run, see if you can sell un need parts and attempt next year. we are not one piece away from being a contender. its not worth anything you mentioned.

  10. So what you are saying is the blues aren't bad despite Faulk but that they are bad in part due to Faulk?

  11. Do not make the mistake the leafs made by giving up a 1st and prospect for aging defense man..

  12. Hard pass on Faulk. Aging Dman with large contract, plus a 1st round pick? No thanks.

I'd rather the Bs add a goal scoring winger for that price.

  13. No for 2 reason it wouldn’t be to bad if he had 1-2 years left and we were a defensemen away from a championship but we’re not we’re a fridge playoff team that might sneak a series out depending on who we play and 2 the cap hit is to big I rather keep that money and draft capital and find younger options in the defensemen

  14. Faulk is a hard pass for me. I don't know if he would get PP time in Boston, unless you're putting 2 d-men on your second unit. My biggest knock on Faulk is health. He's only played a full season 3 times in his career; and we already have D-men with injury issues in our top 4 (McAvoy and Lindholm). Adding another who isn't durable just isn't worth the investment of assets to bring him here, and isn't worth the cap space for just 1 more season

  15. Please no… go for Whitecloud if you want to fix the “2RD” hole. Whitecloud fills the defensive problems and is way cheaper.

  16. Great analysis Court! Would not make this trade due to his contract, age and what the Bruins would have to give up for a good, but not great player. He is definitely not worth a first and possibly Lohrei and/or Poitras. I know Hronek has a NMC, but I still wonder if Pasta/Zacha could convince him to come to Boston. That would def be a trade worth making. If the Bruins are looking for younger RHD, I would consider making a trade for Schneider or Willmander if they are willing to wait a year or two for results.

  17. Faulk isnt the guy he used to be. If were taking that contract were getting Thomas as well, otherwise this is a non needle moving waste of assets trade.

  18. This guy doesn't scream rebuilding, re-tooling just regurgitation. Getting a Peek to replace a Peek is a waste of money and futures.

  19. If they'd take lysell or georgi, sure why not. But if they want anything more then a second round pick along with it, bye felicia

  20. Absolutely not!!just keep rebuilding and wait for the young studs next year. The Bruins as constructed are not s serious contender for the Cup. Why trade your future, doesn’t make sense.

  21. The team has exceeded my expectations this season. I also like the culture they're building again. However I think they shouldn't trade their assests. I think they should be patient, see how the rest of the season plays out. I like the core they have right now and think if they want to add pieces they should do that from within the organization. Hold their picks and keep building the future. If they can land in decent spots on the draft board, I think they should focus more on defensemen and maybe some wingers this coming draft.

  22. I’m all for staying the course, maybe moving Arvidsson and/ or Middlestadt for picks or prospects if the offer is amazing. Go into next year with some established Bruins and P-B’s and keep moving forward. Oh yeah and if they have a chance to move Peeke and Korpisalo DO IT!!

  23. Good, timely video.

The only way the supposed cost is justified is if there is salary retention.
